A perfect Homestay with all the tips to help you plan your stay. Truly right in the center of Vila do Maio, Vila de Porto Inglês (as known by locals). There are many places of interest just footsteps away. I rent out my temporary room. The apartment is shared with another English teacher, who is a colleague of mine, thus the reason the room is only for couples/families and women. Feel free to cook or just run downstairs to the restaurant and grab a plate. And if you forgot your bathing suit, the store downstairs may have one also. Upstairs there's a common terrace if you wish to dry your clothes or smoke.
I (Suelly) am an English teacher and student at the university in Praia, so I am in Maio from time to time whenever there is a course. I am mostly at B&B In the heart of Praia, our main home. Our daughter is super friendly, and always looking to play. Ildo (my partner) is a personal trainer at the sports pavilion - Gimno desportivo, in Praia. Paradise Beach at just three blocks, six small streets from Home. City center, in a very well-centered street, with shops, banks, and street food footsteps away. Feel comfortable being at the beach at night and walking back safely. Friendly locals and a peaceful island, not many tourist attractions, but perfect for travelers who want to learn how locals live and relax. Don't complain about the weather, enjoy and remember it might be winter back home!
