The theme inside is varied complimented by wine barrel light fixtures, horseshoe epoxy creations, & driftwood railings. Lots of glass & a large deck provide an awesome view of Kootenay Lake & the Purcell Mountains. Ainsworth Hotsprings, Cody Caves, beaches & a boat launch are close by. Abundant hiking, skiing & golf. Kaslo & Nelson are a must see. Historic sites everywhere!
Twenty two years ago we decided to leave the city and our stressful jobs and we set out to find some land in the West Kootenay. We fell in love with the Argenta property and have been here ever since. We consider it our little slice of paradise and have always talked about wanting to share it with others. Four years ago we finally listed it as a vacation rental. We hope it will inspire others to pursue their dreams! UPDATE: it is now 2022 and we have enjoyed being hosts so much that we bought a small cozy house in Ainsworth close to the hot springs. We have spent many hours renovating it with the goal of creating another special experience for people like we were able to do in Argenta. The house is eclectic and unique with an eclectic design scattered throughout. There are many light fixtures and furniture made from wine barrels. It has been especially fun for me to expand my creative process into working with live edge wood, driftwood, epoxy and horseshoes. Once again we hope this will inspire people to pursue their dreams!
We look down on beautiful Kootenay Lake. The world famous Ainsworth Hot Springs and their unique caves are 5 minutes away. The amazing Cody Caves are 10 minutes away. We are perfectly situated between historic Kaslo and Nelson which allows for easy exploring of all of the sights and activities in both directions, including the shopping, eating, music, arts & cultural experiences.
