The Cozy Cubbyhole B&B is set in the wilderness of One Hundred Mile House, but still 10 minutes' walk from the city centre. Free WiFi access is available. The property sits on 40 acres wilderness right in town, walking distance to town center ca. 15-20 minutes. My guests have a wonderful, big area to walk around the property, and hiking trails start right behind my house. Since it is away from the road it is also safe for kids. because the area is fenced in. Mountain biking possible. Lots of wildlife as deer, fox, marmot, bear (in fall) and moose (in winter). Free parking available wherever my guests want to leave their cars.
Hello Jim, well, 100 Mile House is a small village with about 2800 people. The name goes back to the old gold rush time when there were trading posts. The Mile 0 is in Lilloet. I don't have the program right now what will be going on this year, since I spend my winters in California. But the Visitor Info Center in 100 Mile House will be very helpful. Ask for Julie or Valerie. I do know later in August we have our yearly garlic festival. 100 Mile House has small shops, lots of restaurants (Chinese, Swiss, Mexican/German, and an excellent Canadian one). An 18-hole golf course is 15 minutes from my place. Tennis courts are 5 minutes away. There are many lakes in the area where you can go for a swim.
