Our home is bright and sunny. We are situated next to a path to the Rideau River and kilometers of beautiful trails. We are centrally located (near Mooney’s Bay) with a short scenic drive along the Rideau canal to downtown/market. We are walking distance to restaurants and shops. Only a 5-10 minute drive to the airport, EY Centre, Military base, Carleton University, Hard Rock Casino, and across the street from the Hunt Club Golf Course.
We are avid travellers and enjoy the opportunity to meet new people. We both love to cook which hotel stays can not accommodate, so we are frequent users of vacation rental sites.. We feel very grateful for our home and its ideal location near nature. We walk the trails daily and have encountered owls, beavers, foxes, river otter, muskrat to name a few. We are "want to be" gardners and enjoy making our property look beautiful. Dave is incredibly handy and loves finding new projects to keep him busy. We are both active and enjoy biking, golfing, and pickleball.
We live in a nice, quiet neighbourhood, centrally located near Mooney's Bay where there are many attractions. Outdoor fitness area, tennis courts, beach, walk/bike trails. Many events such as Hope Beach Volleyball, Dragon Boat races, and Track and Field events, are held at Mooney's Bay. In the winter, x-country ski trails along the river are an ideal way to enjoy a sunny winters day. There is a small strip mall at the end of the block with a nice Italian Restaurant, a Thai Restaurant, Greek food take out, and a very nice hair salon. Local pub across the street with a very good take out pizza place right next door. Several other malls within walking distance offering more restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores.
