Located north of the Urban Community of Quebec, the municipality of Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier is located about 25 kilometers from downtown Quebec (about a 30 minute drive). There are 3 public access points to the Jacques-Cartier River, the Clark Bridge, the cement bridge and the wooden bridge over Redmond, all being very popular. Road bike enthusiasts love the area for its winding roads and magnificent views, a total circuit of 19.6 kilometers. For trail biking or trail walking, the 47th parallel is just minutes away from the chalet. For more enthusiastic hikers, Mont Wright as well as other more challenging trails are within 10 minutes of the chalet. In the village, located just behind the municipality building you can find everything the smaller travellers heart's could desire. A beautiful fenced in playground, swimming pool, the water games, the skatepark, the basketball, baseball and soccer field as well as the small walking path. At Mont St-Sacrement, you can go hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. In winter you can also snowshoe directly on the chalet property.
