Spacious and bright! Enjoy this newly built guest suite that includes an open concept living area and your own private patio. Conveniently located within walking distance to all amenities the Sooke village core has to offer, and only a 15 min walk to the sea. This quiet neighbourhood feels like you're in nature! We're a family of 3 who live upstairs. We added premium soundproofing when renovating the guest suite to minimize sound transfer, however you may hear us from time to time.
I love travelling and experiencing new places from a local's point of view. I hope that I can help you enjoy your stay on the beautiful West Coast!
We are a 10-minute walk to the Sooke village core, where you can get a coffee at the Stick in the Mud or baked treats at Little Vienna Bakery to start the day. All the main shops are close by including the two grocery stores (Western Foods and Village Food Market), liquor stores, drugstores etc. 5 minutes further and you'll arrive at the water's edge where you can wander the marine boardwalk. If you're looking for fine dining, there are some great options like Wild Mountain and the Prestige Hotel restaurant down by the marina. Otherwise, Route 14 is a great pub and there are numerous other restaurants, breweries and food trucks sprinkled about! (Buffy's parking lot, Lazy Gecko parking lot, parking lot by the base of Church Road). If adventure is what you're seeking, keep travelling west on Sooke Road to find Shirley, Jordan River and eventually Port Renfrew. There are loads of great beaches all down that way, including French Beach and China Beach. Oh and if you do go out that way don't forget to try Stoked Pizzeria (by French Beach), easily the best pizza around the whole Sooke area!
