Casa Chácana is our property focused on conscious living on the Praia Corrumbe mountain with a spectacular view of the Corrumbe bay and Paraty Mirim mountains. There is a large garden, a creek you can hear, and a peaceful, welcoming environment. We have three independent suites. We live in the main house and we rent the studio above us, and the garden suite below. We ask everyone to feel at home, interact if desired, and if you prefer your solitude and privacy, you will have it. We work from home and have many guests who prefer quiet as well, so generally speaking we ask everyone to be aware of noise and music levels.
My partner, Andres, and I are both avid travelers, artistic, and work in consciousness development and healing. I am from the US and he is from Argentina. We fell in love with Paraty, and decided to grow a home and community here. Between the two of us, we speak Portuguese, English, Spanish and French. We both work from home, and enjoy sharing our property with others and connecting with people.
We live in a simple and very family oriented neighborhood. It is not a fancy neighborhood, but it is very safe. We know most of the community. There is occasional music from the church or bar in the evenings until nine, but the days and nights are usually very quiet and peaceful. Everyone is in bed by nine or ten. So are we!
