A vibrant bustling, noisy city with much to see and enjoy.
A vibrant bustling, noisy city with much to see and enjoy. Some very decent restaurants and the city is easy to get around thanks to the thousands of tuk tuks and cycle rickshaw. Beware the traffic jams though! And to get away from the noise take a trip to the tranquil botanical gardens.

Dhaka!
Dhaka!
Traffic has eased slightly from earlier, as several new flyovers have been commissioned.
Expressways are open, Metrorail services are running, but noise pollution remains the same

As a native of this bustling city, Dhaka's charm lies in its unapologetic chaos. For those unfamiliar, the initial encounter with the city's bustling streets and animated markets might be perplexing. However, once you acclimate to the rhythm of Dhaka, you'll find an unparalleled vibrancy that outshines the orderliness of more structured cities worldwide.
Dhaka is a haven for those who thrive in the midst of disorder, a realm where unpredictability fuels an exhilarating experience. It's not a destination for those seeking spoon-feeding or stringent organization. Instead, it beckons to those who revel in the unexpected, offering a unique tapestry of culture, commerce, and commotion. In Dhaka, chaos isn't a flaw but a defining feature, making it a must-visit for those who dare to embrace the unpredictable and find beauty in the midst of disorder.
One undeniable allure of Dhaka for visitors from around the globe is the remarkably affordable cost of living. In this vibrant city, most individuals will find that things are not just reasonably priced but extraordinarily cheap. Whether it's indulging in local cuisine, navigating the bustling markets, or exploring the rich tapestry of cultural experiences, Dhaka caters to budget-conscious travelers, providing an opportunity to stretch your dollar further than in many other destinations.
From street food to transportation, the city's affordability opens doors for exploration without breaking the bank. For those seeking an adventure without a hefty price tag, Dhaka stands out as a budget traveler's paradise, offering an array of experiences that won't dent your wallet.

Given that the average income in Bangladesh is significantly lower than Western standards, it's challenging for the typical person to cover their expenses. Bangladeshi people are generally hardworking and, for the most part, very honest. However, when interacting with small shop owners, especially when dealing with foreigners, they may occasionally inflate their prices. This practice isn't common in larger stores or malls.
I've developed a deep appreciation for the people of Bangladesh, particularly those in the villages compared to those in the cities. There are truly beautiful sights to behold in this country as well.

Dhaka is the captial of Bangladesh with 40 million populations. There is alwasy the traffice on the road, no matter whenever it is. Passengers and vehicles are crowded over the road. Living cost is bit high since the grocery price is high compared to the GDP, but hotel room rate is okay.

Dhaka is a vibrant and bustling city with a rich history and culture. From the colorful rickshaws to the aromatic street food, there's always something to discover in this city. The people are friendly and welcoming, and the architecture is a mix of old and new styles. However, the traffic in Dhaka can be overwhelming, and pollution is a major issue. If you can handle the chaos, it's definitely worth exploring the many museums, markets, and historic sites that this city has to offer. Overall, Dhaka is a unique and fascinating city that is sure to leave a lasting impression on any visitor.
The staff were extremely welcoming and hospitable. From the airport pickup to the check in staff. I believe I was one of the few people who were visiting Dhaka for tourism purposes, and the staff did everything they could to ensure that we had a great stay and saw all the attractions. The swimming pool (when open...) was fantastic and had a superb view of the Gulshan district of Dhaka. The breakfast was extremely plentiful with a variety of western and local options. Room was comfy and did not hear any neighbours during our stay at this hotel.
This hotel is very comfortable and quiet, which is impressive given its location in the middle of Gulshan 2. The rooms are well-appointed; there is a rooftop pool (relatively quiet!); good in-house restaurants (that will make you something special if you require it!); and excellent staff. The breakfast is the best - the staff go out of their way to remember your preferences (and even hunted down soy milk for me!! Not easy in Dhaka!). I've stayed here twice now and have also booked my next stay there.
Our go to hotel when in Dhaka for business. We always look forward to staying here. Super friendly and professional staff.
Rooms are a good size with everything you should need. Clean and comfortable.
Restaurant great food selection to suit all tastes. Excellent location not too far from the airport and we used the hotels chauffeur service to pick us up and return back ( no issues )
Always lovely to be greeted with a warm welcome here and valued as returning guests.
I was very pleased with the airport transfer service provided by the hotel, which was punctual and efficient. I would like to express my gratitude to Bashir, Nipul, and Munna for their kindness, as well as to the management for ensuring a comfortable stay. The room amenities were of decent quality, and the breakfast buffet offered a variety of healthy options. Additionally, the internet connection was very fast. I would highly recommend this hotel to travelers
The InterContinental Hotels and Resorts in Dhaka demonstrates what a 5-star institution looks and feels like. From the warm check-in smile of Ms. Roy at the front desk to the professionalism of security and services staff. My short visit in Dhaka would not be the same experience without the safety, comfort, and care of all the staff at the InterContinental Hotels and Resorts in Dhaka.
Had a great and comfortable stay at Jatra, the room is comfortable with excellent bed and good hot shower. The location is excellent within Gulshan 2 and easy to find. Lovely staff who is there at any time to support. Having stayed in many hotels in Bangladesh, this is by far the best value for money I have experienced!
After some awful hotels in Bangladesh, it was nice to see the staff try hard to treat you as a guest rather than a moron. The breakfast included was pretty damn good. The option of a carpeted room was also a nice change from always feeling you're sleeping in a tiled bathroom.
Swimming pool was clean. The garden was luscious, and the food was healthy. Most of all, the bed was almost orthopedic. You have the best bed out of all the hotels in Dhaka; not too soft and bouncy, just perfect for any spine!
The hotel staffs were very professional and very helpful. The location is near to the Dhaka airport which was a big plus for international travelers.
Room: Room size is okay.
Service: Okay.
Breakfast: Not fancy but okay.
Food was great and the staff was very friendly. The reception staff was helpful and kind. I only stayed for a short time but I would definitely come back the next time I visit Dhaka. I highly recommend White Palace Hotel.
The rooms are well furnished and the staff is extremely welcoming. The airport pickup worked amazingly well and early check-in was possible. The location of the hotel is great to explore the Banani area by foot.
I really loved the food—it was excellent! The staff was very friendly, and the hotel's overall vibe was above par. I recommend it to anyone who is travelling to Bangladesh, either for work or leisure purposes.
staff extremely nice and helpful, good breakfast. The location of the hotel is central thus fully merged with Dhaka congestions, but luckly a bit aside of the main street therefore the area is quite enough
The location is good and it's fairly close to the airport too. The hotel is fairly simple, but everything needed was there. My room was large and there are very nice restaurants and cafes in the vicinity.
Very good location just 12 minutes to walk to the central square of Gulshan. Clean and comfortsble hotel, very good breakfasts, the staff very friendly and helpfull
