A contemporary-modern decor, with a vibrant traditional Barbadian feel, best describes this Breezy Relaxing Apartment, which sits on a terrace between the prestigious Apes Hill Development, and overlooking Royal Westmoreland Golfing Community towards Holetown West Coast Barbados. Breezy la Vista is self-contained with a fully equipped kitchen /dinner that seats four, with living patio space, BBQ grill & gardens beyond. There is one bedroom with a queen size bed, ensuite bathroom with a rainfall-shower, wc floating vanity, wardrobe, storage hairdryer dressing spaces which are all ensuite. The apartment is a secluded getaway for solo travelers, couples, young family short or long-term vacationers, or those on the "Barbados 12-month Welcome Stamp Visa", who can work remotely with just a laptop and phone, but also for those expats in the UK, US, & Canada who are looking for a 'home from home' when visiting friends and family in the St James local surrounding villages. The apartment adjoins the main house on the ground floor level, and is secluded, giving our guests total privacy, where the host can be available subject to scheduling, and with the lead from guest, for light casual socializing.
Kelvin, [your host] was born and raised in Black Rock St Michael, Barbados and the Baylands, where he attended Bay Primary School up to the age of 10 /11, where in 1971, he & his younger brother was whisked away on a BOAC Trident jet to join their mother in England, Chiswick West London, and it was cold, very cold. Soon after they moved to Feltham, Middlesex, where he attended secondary school. His first employment after school was as a 5-year Apprentice Trainee Electronic Wireman, and this included attendance at Kingston College of Further Education, where he sat and passed two papers with Distinction, gaining two City & Guilds of London Certificates. Age 21 he had a change of direction and went into retailing with one of UK's largest retailers, where after 8 months he was nominated for a role in management, which included professional training in the phycology behind managing people. His quest for knowledge and a challenge took him into the art of direct sales, where the importance in understanding why people do the things they do was paramount to success. This led him into mortgage sales, from where he discovered his life passion of; Real Estate Development. Kelvin is a widower & grandfather, who has a love for the creative arts and his travelled throughout the UK & Ireland, Western Europe, the Americas and parts of the middle east, before returning to Barbados 7 years ago. Growing up and travelling from an early age means that he is very easy-going and open-minded to differences, and his philosophy to life is, laughter at every opportunity, and never take life or self too seriously. This is borne out by an irrational love for the football team Queens Park Rangers, but as he is one who likes to see others do well & a closet glory hunter, he also supports the team at the top of their game and winning. He has a serious, focused, relentless work ethic; however, he also enjoys kicking back with a rum or 5 over great stimulating conversation with good people
The property sits on a terrace approx. 650ft above sea level, hence the title, "Breezy Vista on the Terrace", and stretches out from east to west, which means there is the benefit of that constant breezy to the occupants through the apartment. The combine areas of Water Hall, St Silas, Deanes Apes Hill & Royal Westmoreland, are classified as, "middle to upper income neighbourhoods" and retain some of the old-fashioned ideals such as looking out for and ensuring the wellbeing of each other, which means our guess are assured of a comforting welcome, securities and pleasantries, as is typically synonymous with such neighbourhoods. We are located within a 10min drive to all the formal and non-formal amenities, attractions and beaches of the west coast of Barbados, Tides & Loan Star restaurants, Lancaster Great House, the famous Sandy Lane Hotel & beach, Holetown Massy Superstore, Harrisons Cave & Adventure Park, St Nicholas Abbey Rum Distillery, Apes Hill & Westmoreland Golf Courses, Chefette & Burger king Fast Foods, many local bars, Karaoke and places to just hangout and relax.
