Southlynne is a fully renovated Art Deco Home built in 1947. It has lovely features such as rounded rooms and original art deco ceiling roses. Southlyne has been decorated in the art deco style, but with modern comforts. The linen is luxurious and the beds are comfy. With 2 bedrooms, we can accommodate 4 guests. There is a KS bed in the main bedroom and two long singles in the second bedroom. Enjoy breakfast at the dining banquette in the kitchen, or set up the dining table in the lounge area for a more formal meal. Play your own music through our Music Cast system, watch TV or sit outside in our leafy outdoor area and enjoy a wine in the afternoon sun. The bathroom has walk-in shower, heated tiles and towel rail. There are 2 toilets for your convenience. Catch up on your washing in the laundry. We know you'll enjoy the ambience at Southlynne. We provide little extras to make your holiday special.
We are Geoff and Tanya. We are small business owners in Launceston who have a passion for renovating houses - we are happiest when we have a project! We have two amazing grown-up children who now live away and two dogs, Jazz & Win. Geoff is a car enthusiast and Tanya loves interior decorating and gardening.
Southlynne is located approximately 3 kms from Launceston City where you will find shopping and restaurants. It is a great location to use as a base for day trips to the Tamar Valley wine region, the Gorge, National Trust homes, Evandale and more. It is a 10 minute drive to the Launceston Country Club Casino, 15 minutes to Launceston Airport and close to the Southern outlet which takes you to Hobart, or the North West Coast.
