In winter, the snow-covered peaks and forests of the Murau-Kreischberg vacation region will not leave you cold. Hike with snowshoes through the untouched landscape off the beaten track, where you will be the first to make fresh tracks in the freshly fallen snow. The tour around the Grebenzenschutzhaus is an easy introduction for all beginners to familiarize themselves with snowshoes, whereas the trail up to the Frauenalpe via the Troghütte to the summit at 1,997 metres is more for experienced hikers. A day on the ice rink or tobogganing is a welcome change, and not just for children.
