Hi everyone! Welcome to our holiday home here in Bad Ischl! I am Chiufee and along with my husband and 2 children we hope to be super hosts for you. - Our Apartment in the Residenz Elizabeth has been newly renovated to make your stay more comfortable and worthwhile. There are four bedrooms in the apartment with two bathrooms - a shower and a bathtub. In the living room is a sofa, a dining table and a small kitchen. There are two cable TV and internet with wifi. We`ve put in new vinyl floors and new infrared heating system.

Well, where do I start to introduce myself? It`s a long story but I`ll try to make it short. I am Chinese and was born and brought up in Kolkata ( Calcutta) India. My grandfather (both sides) migrated from Kanton, China to India more than 3/4 of a century ago. In our small Chinese community we have our own schools, china town, newspaper etc,. The occupations varied from leather tanning to restaurants, shoe shops, hairdressing parlours and so on. I moved to Austria in sommer `88 to join my husband, after having lived and worked in Taiwan for more than 4 years. In July 1989 our beautiful baby girl Foni was born and the year after our handsome boy Fugi. They are both our pride, happiness and joy! We moved from Baden to Bad Ischl in 1990 and opened a Chinese restaurant here called `Happy Dragon`. The business ran well for 26 years but eventually because of health reasons we decided to rent it to a younger couple. Then came the idea that we could turn our spare apartment into a holiday home since the children have long moved out. We love to travel and meet people, and with our experience and success in the restaurant business we are convinced we can be good hosts for you.

Our apartment is in the center of Bad Ischl. The famous Konditorei Zauner is opposite us and the supermarket just around the corner. The Lehar theater, the thermal spa, the Kongresshaus, the Lehar Villa (opposite), the bus and train station are all just minutes away. Then we have the Kaiser Villa, the Katrin (our home mountain), Museums etc,. You can visit the world heritage region of Hallstatt (China has a copy of this town!) which is 23km away, visit the salt mine or go to the Dachstein Ice Caves. The beautiful city of Salzburg is about 55km away, romantic St Wolfgang 19km and here you can take the schafberg railway up the mountain and have a breathtaking view of the several lakes around Salzkammergut. Then there is Mondsee (40km) to visit with its beautiful moon lake and the romantic church in which the wedding took place (Julie Andrews & Christoph Plummer) `Sound of Music` - my favourite as a child! Bad Ischl is never Boring, our Mayer Hannes and his team always make sure that the guests are kept entertained. We have events happening all year round such as the lehar Festival, Int. Chess Tounament, Country Music Festival, exibitions, the summer operetta and so on.........
