One fine night, during our first holiday in Armenia (and after a few shots of the neighbours’ homemade honey vodka), we ended up buying a plot of land, including a house in questionable state of repair and a number of amazing walnut trees. A handshake and probably another shot, closed the deal. After a year of ups and downs, language barriers, somewhat complex construction works and a wealth of incredible experiences with amazing people, we are now opening our guesthouse in Gomk, the one with the bright green metal roof (it was supposed to be a somber dark green… language barriers, as we said), to welcome you in beautiful Armenia and share with you all this country we now call a second home has to offer.

In our guesthouse in Gomk things are simple, good and honest. Laugh, live and be you in Vayots Dzor. Our Guesthouse is located in the historical village of Gomk, in Vayots Dzor Province or Armenia at an elevation of 1,800m. It consists of a spacious 70sqm Attic that sleeps 4+1, one 18 sqm Double room and one 30sqm Quadruple room. All rooms have their own private entrance, private bathroom, comfortable beds, white bedlinen with duvets, fresh towels and toiletries. We promise you will not miss your comfort. We have a lovely 68sqm terrace shared for all quests, with stunning mountain view. This is where we mingle, eat and relax over a book or glass of wine. There is no wi-fi in the house. We recommend buying an Armenian SIM Card at Yerevan airport when you land (or in the city). VivaCell-MTS has cheap packages, ideal for tourists, and is the only provider with good coverage in the village.

In our village, you can and upon prior arrangement visit our neighbors, see how they produce honey, cheese and bread (for an additional tiny extra fee that goes to them and their families). If you wish, you can help them milk their cows, feed the ducks and chickens. Pick up fruits and walnuts from our trees, take our Yoga mats and meditate on the top of our hill above the clouds or just ask Bavo, our Cook, to give you a cooking lesson
