Perfect simple stop for the price! Made good use of the free bicycle, which is the best way to explore the city. I took a lovely ride out to the Ottoman bridge. Staff was great. Location is perfect, tucked just inside the busy streets. Loved that the hotel has been around. You can feel the good vibe history of travelers.

This must be one of the best hotels in Albania! Picturesque does not even begin to describe it. It is instagram heaven without all the queues. Located just about 1.5 hours from Tirana. We chose Shkoder as a stopover to the Albanian alps. We were two families travelling with young kids. They absolutely loved the pool and the surroundings. The pool and solarium are warm, there is a sauna and a jacuzzi. The staff are extremely lovely and accommodating. Breakfast is quite lavish with hot and cold options. There were fried eggs, sausages. Boiled eggs, cold cuts and salads. Lovely coffee, all included in the room price. Their dinner and lunch menu are extensive and will suit all palates and cater to vegan, vegetarian, gluten free etc.. I found their food and drink extremely reasonably priced and it must be a hot spot for lunch and dinner for the locals as on a Sunday it could be busy. The room itself was extremely large and comfortable. There was a fridge, hair dryer and you could use the towels by the pool. The beds were extremely comfortable and our room had air conditioning and a fan which we used as it was hot. Many thanks to Albi and Gerty for sharing local knowledge with us. We managed to tear ourselves away from the hotel to visit Mesi Bridge which is 30 minutes away. We had the loveliest and freshest lunch in a place called Cafe Murarti. Highly reccomend.

The receptionist at the check-in was friendly and helpful by providing us tips where we can enjoy a traditional meal. Hotel also offered parking for us and has also kindly kept our car while we headed for a trekk in the alps. This was very helpful to us as it put our mind at ease. We also needed to leave early for the bus to the north, and the hotel also kindly arranged for a light breakfast to take with us given that the breakfast served at the hotel would start later. Location of the hotel is also close to all the shops so it was convenient. Would highly recommend!

Lovely city, with a cafe bar atmposphere. Everyone is so friendly and do their best with English speaking to help. There is a relaxed feel to the city and nobody seems stressed out and in a rush.
The castle is well worth the visit and has stunning views. THe lake is also lovely to visit.
It is also cheap and better to eat out to enjoy the experience than staying in.

Great historic old town with atmosphere, shopping, and restaurants. The rest of the city is typical, and has all amenities. Very tasty restaurants in the area. Lots of transportation options to get you to the mountains, or neighbouring countries.

I loved the lake view we had from the balcony of our B&B.
I loved the lake view we had from the balcony of our B&B. Our objective was to relax, and we really did. It was an easy walk down to the lakeside where we were treated to many varieties of birds and even saw schools of fish coming near the shore to feed in the evening. The area around Bella Vista had a number of good places to eat and (in town) a broad walkway for strolling and bicycling. The roads weren't great, but otherwise the location was fabulous. It was a good base for exploring the Rozafa Castle, the Mesi Bridge, and other cities further into the mountains. Having a car was a must, as we didn't see much public transit.

I travelled in a few towns in Albania but Shkoder is my favourite. It’s so relaxed and easy to walk and has a great history. Abu baker mosque is so beautiful inside and outside. It’s the only mosque I visited anywhere in the world with so much natural light. The architect did a very good job. The huge cathedral is also impressive. It has a very beautiful wooden ceiling and simple coloured windows. The town like most of Albania is full of bars and cafes. The walk along the lake is a must and also visiting the fortress which has panoramic views. One strange character of this town is the dogs mostly sleeping everywhere in the streets during the day and noisy at night.

I didn't get the impression many tourists stop off here but they should try it. A very relaxing city, with many nice outdoor cafes etc. A good place to wind down, and great value for money. If you want to break up the trip between Tirana and the Montenegro coast or v/v this is ideal. Buses for Montenegro leave outside Rozafa Hotel, other side of the road, on schedule. Buses to Tirana leave every hour close to this at the roundabout just north.

Overall the stay had been amazing and more than I could have imagined.
It was my first time travelling to Albania and needed to stay somewhere for 1 night, hotel prices for something last minute had been out of my budget. I was surprised when I came across this guesthouse, it was a good price and newly renovated. Easy to find and in a prime location.
The bed had been comfortable and the host had replied back to me in a timely manner regarding one of my enquires.
Definitely highly recommend and would book again.
Check in was fairly simple and fast. Unfortunately, they do not accept payment with card, but that seems to be the rule in Albania, so make sure you have some cash with you. The hotel was easy to find and quite conveniently located on a side street, thus it was quiet. It's also in the city centre and within walking distance to the old town. The tour to Shiroke, Rozafa Castle and Mez bridge was very nice and at an affordable price. Room was quite spacious and the AC worked wonders.
The hosts are one of the nicest and hospitable people we've met during our trip through Albania. They helped us park our car, did our laundry, made coffee several times, helped carrying our bags and let us use their bicycles. Things that weren't necessary but they did it anyway which made it a special stay.
The apartment is super clean, comfy beds and in the old town of Shkoder. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Really recommend staying here!
Probably the best hostel in Shkodër.
The managers are amazing, we had so much fun. It's not a random hostel running by volunteers, but by a young duo of welcoming and fun Albanians who love to spend their time there. They know their city and country by heart and give you advices about whatever you need.
The dorms are big enough, the bathroom is huge, everything is clean.
Safe neigborhood, a 10 minutes walking distance to the city centre.
Our stay was perfect. We would definitely book this guesthouse once again :) Renato is a very friendly and helpful host, he renovated the guesthouse with a lot of love and made everything very authentic and atmospheric. We also got help to all the questions about Shkoder and our Albanian trip in general. The breakfast was also great btw :) Really-really nice 😊 Thanks a lot to you Renato and to your wife :)
It is a new hotel, classic design but beautiful finishing with relaxing colors.. everything looks clean and neat, room was big enough to
accommodate a family of 3 . location of the hotel is good, lots of shops and restaurants around and it is only 3 minutes walk from the famous dining street in Shkoder.
Reception staff Miss Nevin and Mr Aryon are very nice and always ready to answer any question.
Excellent staff who were always ready to help us and really go above and beyond - they booked our tickets for the Koman Ferry, as well as a taxi back from Theth and a taxi from Ulcinj (Montenegro) and could always answer our questions. The hotel itself is good with all the facilities in good condition. A great breakfast and a great location, only a short walk from the main streets in Shkoder.
It is a beautiful hotel right in the city centre with a lot of restaurants around. It’s bustling with life. We were given a beautiful, spacious room with a street view. Most importantly, the people who run the hotel are some of the kindest people we have met in Albania. They helped us to organize our journey to Theth, always with a smile, despite language barriers.
The lake view from the hotel room was fantastic. Rooms are really spacious and warm (we were in December). Everything was clean and tidy. It was an average Albanian breakfast, i.e fried eggs and cheese. They served it in rooms and that was pretty nice. The owner Bledar is very friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend it.
An exceptional hotel, especially considering this hotel is located in Albania. This was the nicest hotel i stayed at in Albania, including the Plaza in Tirana. The decor is traditional but upscale and classy. It reminds me of Ritz Carlton property at a fraction of the price. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The most outstanding aspect of this hotel was the incredible customer service from the reception staff. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such friendly, helpful and welcoming hotel staff ever! Well done Albania. Our stay in your country far exceeded our expectations and we had an incredible time.
The lady was helpful, text to see if I needed anything, people were nice, it was near for taxi's, buses, food, everything was close, and accessible, would go back again when I return to Albania, and Shkoder, a beautiful place.A bit noisy, but in the centre of the city, it's to be expected
The staff was very helpful and friendly.
They organise many activities, such as traditional dinner, walking tours as well as hikes in the Albanian Alps. Bikes are available at a very reasonable price. We could store our luggage while we were on the mountains which was great!
Best Hotel to stay when you are in Shkoder! The people who work there were amazing, for example they helped us with organizing the bus to Theth. Rooms were very big, the bed super comfortable. Best value for money! The location is also very nice, next to many supermarkets.
the hotel was a few minutes walk to the center which was convenient. Helvet who was the host, was very responsive, helpful, & friendly. we appreciated his company during our trip to the albanian alps, theth, & waterfall.
Great hotel in the center of Shkoder. The staff were all wonderful and helpful and the hotel is new and very clean.. Will be back when in Shkoder! Thank you !
Faleminder shume per pritjen!
One of the most friendly staff in Albania, a perfect location and the vibes are everything. A perfect combo that makes you dont want to leave the hostel. totally recommend
