Family owned little hotel (5 villas) with fantastic view of the bay. Very quiet location, with little traffic (mostly locals minding their own business). Owners are really nice and helpful. Just keep in mind, that you will need a scooter to move around (rented by owner for a very reasonable price), because there is no restaurant on site. Nearest restaurant and 7-Eleven is within easy 3-5 minute drive.
Villas are cozy, almost brand new and well maintained. I would say they are on a 4 star level or very close to it. If you are looking for a comfortable base for Yoa Yai island exploration - that is probably the best option. You can drive to the opposite end of the island in 1 hour.
The owner - Yon - is a great and honest guy (his English is a bit rusty, but that is never a problem), he can help you with arranging tours and transfers.

The hostel is small, clean and quiet. It has a well equiped kitchen and spacious rooms with a balcony. In general they already thought about every little thing that a guest may need. However the best part is Gift, the owner, she is a really nice person who loves receiving guests. She helped us out like a five star resort concierge and even gave us a ride! It was one of the best hostel experiences I ever had!
Connexion was the best hostel we've ever visited and the owner Preeya was the most amazing host ever! It's located in the best spot in the island near all the best local restaurants and markets. Preeya helped us with everything you can imagine from booking us tours, giving tips and renting mopeds. Everything worked out smoothly and we had the most wonderful week on the island because of Preeya and Connexion. Would recommend for everyone!

It's a really clean and peaceful place to stay and close to a good restaurant. The kindness of Preeya. She's really attentive. Really good advice for activities, things to do, and for everything else. she cooks a really awesome breakfast every day for you. One of the best hostels where I stayed in Thailand.
Room was big and clean. Nice and friendly staff. Great location!! At the end of the road, no big streets with traffic. Nice and clean beach. Sunbeds always available, good and cheap loundry service right next door (with the small kiosk).
Small and extremely clean hostel in a good location. Solid bunk beds with stoarge. Bus stop is a few minutes away, beach is walking distance. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip to the Similan Islands that I arranged through the hostel.
The Host was the nicest. He offered to pick us up and bring us back to the pier. We could also book private boat tours and kayak tours at a cheaper price than anywhere else on the island. They have a scooter rental and he even teached me how to drive the scooter. On top of that he accompanied my first drive to the beach, just to be safe. You can also do your laundry there. The bungalow is so nice and really clean with a beautiful view to the green garden. It was really nice sitting outside enjoying the nature.
The resort was really nice, calm and clean. The staff were great and helpful. The location right on the beach is very nice, and also in a short walking distance to many stores, restaurants, the night market and the tsunami museum. We're backpackers that usually travel on budget and wanted to get spoiled a little bit, and we felt like this place was perfect for that situation: not too fancy but good value for money.
Best hostel I've ever had! The beds are super big and comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious. The owner is a gem, she can arrange motorcycles for you at the pier and even brought me when I departed. Super cute kittens everywhere :) also very social, easy to meet your dorm mates.
