The staff arranged for late check in and even arranged for my transport to visit a durian farm (abt 30mins out of town) the following day. Mek and his colleagues were super, quite outstanding really. Mek drove me on his motorbike to eat some amazing food at the old quarters and night market. He helped me arrange for my 5am transport to the bus station for the trip back to Bangkok. Great location, close to the river front and only a 10min walk from the bus terminal. There was no street noise. Large, bright room with comfortable beds, fridge, well-working AC and a small desk. Shower worked well, too. We enjoyed the balcony and the seating areas in the courtyard. Very friendly and honest staff! A big thank you to the young man that returned the phone charger that we forgot in the room! Very good value for money.
Great decor to the hostel. Very clean and beds were comfy. Staff were very friendly particularly the ladies on the reception desk.

Chernchan is a very stylish hostel which we enjoyed staying at. It is very central so that you can easily walk around the waterfront. The staff is helpful and helped us to organize a motorbike.
Very nice, sweet and helpful staff. Cool, hipster decor all over the hostel. The hostel is the nicest one I have stayed in while in SE Asia and I have been traveling for 8 months in 4 countries. The staff was very helpful with providing documentation as I extended my visa in Thailand. Without request my room was upgraded, which was a wonderful surprise. Very comfortable beds, too! Chanthaburi is a very fun town with a lot of different areas to explore.
Great location
The hotel is based on a lovely safe beach and the swimming pool and the grounds were exceptional. The food for breakfast and in the Blues River Bar was excellent. Both good value and great thai food. The ponds with coy carp and other fish were great to see as was the other local wild life birds and butterflies. It was very relaxing holiday and in great location.
