Prince Albert Backpackers is a 5-minute walk from Nelson. It is a 10-minute walk from the bus terminal. It is a 5-minute drive from Trafalgar Park and a 15-minute drive from Nelson Airport. Lovely place with lovely people, had a nice dinner also, all and all a really nice stay and I would definately stay here again.

Guests can choose between private and dormitory rooms, most with access to shared bathroom facilities. Secure lockers, luggage storage and bicycle storage are available. The hostel also offers mountain and city bikes for hire. Friendly and helpful staff were very proactive and accommodating with our large group. We had our own kitchen and dining area to meet in. They also rearranged rooms to meet our needs. The location is great in the center of Nelson, right next to grocery stores, shopping, and the Saturday Market. Everything was kept impeccably clean. Thus was the best hostel we stayed in New Zealand! They were also very helpful in arranging outings for everyone. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

The friendly staff can provide advice on local attractions. Tasman Bay Backpackers Hostel is a 10-minute walk from Nelson city centre and Nelson Bus Depot. This is a beautiful backpackers! So friendly and warm, very homely. The staff were awesome and they have done so well to create a family feel within the backpackers. Its hard not to socialise in this place even as an introvert. An easy place to force yourself to talk to others even when not in the mood because of the friendly environment. Would 100% recommend a stay, its not too far a walk into the town centre. Be sure to stay in for the evenings as they bake an amazing chocolate pudding ever evening for guests. Thanks for a beautiful stay!

Bridge Backpackers is ideally located in the centre of Nelson, and offers a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. Located around 600 metres from Christ Church Cathedral, Nelson, the hostel is also less than 1 km away from Trafalgar Park. The accommodation features a shared kitchen, a tour desk and luggage storage for guests. The place was really nice, big and clean kitchen, the room was perfect!! The guy from the reception was very nice and helpful. A big thank you from the bottom of my heart.❤️

Located in Nelson, The Palace Backpackers offers accommodation with free bikes and a shared lounge. The historical colonial villa is set in an enchanting garden with plum, lemon trees and flowers. It is a 4-minute walk from Christ Church Cathedral. Free WiFi is provided. sitting out on the balcony where some other backpackers sat to chill out in the afternoon. Everyone I met were amazing, friendly and very interested in why my Husband and i were in Nelson. The uphill was a challenge but doable, the parking was hard as we had a big 4x4 but again it was doable. The owner of The Palace was a pretty cool down to earth person. We enjoyed our stay and we will go back again.

Trafalgar Park is 600 metres from Downtown Backpackers & Accommodation, while Tahunanui Beach is 4 km from the property. Nelson Airport is 6 km away. The bed was very comfortable and we were warned about the noise which wasn't too bad Apart from that we totally enjoyed our stay.
