I was surprised to find such a friendly and warm guesthouse in Malaysia. It was my first visit to Kuala Lumpur, and the most memorable thing during this trip was my personal accommodation. Jake and Julia were so warm-hearted that they struggled to help me with everything I was curious about and needed, and they managed to solve most of the problems. At first, I honestly thought about whether or not to make a reservation when I saw pictures of bunk beds in 10 people crowded in one room at a reasonable price, but I think choosing this place was the wisest trip I ever made to Malaysia. First of all, I was surprised to see that the guest house bedroom was so clean and cool. The hostess and I took turns working so hard that they didn't feel like they had any time off. I have no recollection of smelling anything unpleasant in the room because I have swept and cleaned the barefoot floors several times a day and regularly spray air fresheners. The bed was clean and comfortable (of course, the bunk bed was almost one body, so I could feel it from the bottom if I toss and turn from the top, but most of them were careful of each other, so it was not a big problem, actually.

It feels homely and well designed with a lot of character. The bathrooms were clean and my bed was comfy, which comes with a plug and light. It was quiet and I was the only guest at the hostel. My host was great, answering queries quickly regarding early bag drop off, and helping me with booking firefly tours. There are many good seafood restaurants nearby, and a market which opens in the evening. Thanks again, I would not hesitate to book again if I stayed in Kuala Selangor!
