In the last 1.5 months i stayed in many hostels and hotels. Compared to all of my experiences i found Cozy House Hostel is the best. The owner of this hostel is a very very very humble person. He even allowed me to check in at 4 a.m. in the morning because my bus was too early. It's actually a Homestay type hostel. The owner's family also lives there. The parents of the owner are as good as him. His mother helped me to cook rice and was very humble. His father was also a nice person, though they can't speak very good English but they always talk with the guests with a smile. That's caught my Heart. They have a very nice kitchen. Guests can have tea and coffee from their hostel kitchen, It's complimentary. I will definitely go there again and I recommend all the travellers to go there. There location is also in a very nice location. But if you search on google map the rute you will find will be little bit long. There location is just beside the rail line. So if you walk through the train line, you will find their hostel within 2 min from the train station.

At the hostel, the rooms include a desk, bed linen and a balcony with a mountain view. With a shared bathroom fitted with a shower and a hairdryer, rooms at Backpackers Hostel also feature a city view. All rooms have a safety deposit box. I will highly recommend every backpacker to consider this place for once. It is run run by kasun who is a gem of a person. Never met such a humble host who is so much concerned about backpackers needs and always ready to help them. If I ever visit Sri Lanka again, I will definitely visit this place again

Stayed for one night here but wish I came earlier. Great location, close to everything. The staff is very helpful, loved the various activities that the hostel offered, can highly recommend the cooking class, it was very interesting and delicious! Enjoyed the laid back but still very social aspect of the hostel. Everything was very clean and comfortable!

The view of Ella Rock was breath taking. The staff were very friendly and helped with transport at a cheap price. The breakfast was really good with lots of options. Beds very comfy with private curtains. Restaurant onsite with wood fired pizzas! Would go back just for the pizza alone! It was amazing ! Would highly recommend!

He provided free pick up from the train station and he also gave us lifts here and there for free. His place has an incredible view (even from the room) and atmosphere. In the mornings we saw monkeys on a very close trees. The beds are comfortable. Booked some trips with him and he gave us very friendly price because we were staying at his place. He showed us breathtaking places where there are no tourists!He also recommended places where we could go just by ourselves. He took really good care of us the whole time! We booked for one night then we decided to stay 2 more. Ajith is a very goodhearted and lovable person...a real good soul. His place has an awesome vibe! Highly recommended!!!
