We were greeted by Palona, who is simply the most lovely, helpful, and energetic person ever, and everything was absolutely wonderful from that point forward. Our group of 7 adults and teens had just gotten off the trail from hut-to-hut backpacking for 5 days, so we needed to rest, do laundry, and find energy to enjoy the lake. The hostel is sparkling clean, has everything anyone could need, and both Palona and Rok went above and beyond to help us find a lost cell phone (in Lake Bled!), arrange transportation, and enjoy Lake Bohinj. The rooms are large and quiet and the neighborhood is so sweet and calm....just wonderful. We rented bikes from Mama Minka and spent a day touring the lake on designated bike paths, too. Seriously, this hostel and the caretakers are absolute gems! Cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay. We loved it so much.
