Excellent location if you want to visit the national library or museum. I loved the fresh and tasty complimentary croissants and fruits in the room .

I arrived late in the evening and was greeted with a delicious meal by the owner's mother, no less. The "hotel" was built over 800 years ago by Saladin's army and the same family has lived in it for the entirety of its existence. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, showers are hot, fresh juice and coffee are plentiful. I timed my walks and it is exactly 2 minutes to go to the Dome of the Rock (including security and taking off your shoes); 4 minutes to the Western Wall and 15 minutes to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. You can hear the call to prayers from your bed. Remarkable experience -- "I think this is the best hostel in the world" -- one guest remarked.

Hostel Jerusalem has excellent public transport links around Jerusalem. The New Gate to the Old City is 10 minutes' walk away, as is Mahane Yehuda Market. It was our second stay at the hostel. Considering it was cheap compared to other places in town, it was as expected. Staff was nice and helpful. If you're on a budget, it's worth it.

Located less then 100 metres from the Damascus Gate, one of the most famous entrances to Jerusalem's Old City, Palm Hostel offers free Wi-Fi. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Dome of the Rock and the Western Wall are a short walk away. Very nice stuff, location - beautiful, you are in an authentic atmosphere of Old Jerusalem, clean, feels home, met a lot of people in the hostel.
