We had to go across the street to shower. But the staff really cared and tried their best to fix things. I was even offered a ride to the port when checking out. I would definitely stay here again just for the staff!

I had an excellent night sleep. Breakfast was delicious and served in the restaurant opposite. All the staff were really friendly and I was able to organise boat trips with them. Karimunjawa is such a cool friendly place with a real chilled beach vibe. Thanks Christian, I will miss you guys!

At the hostel all rooms have bed linen and towels. I loved staying at Ali's homestay. It is located on a perfect spot in the village of Karimunjawa, close to everything. Ali became a good friend and helped out with everything i needed. The patio is lovely to chill at night, and facilities like free coffee and tea, wifi, everything is there. Ali even helped arranging transport back to the mainland from the harbour. Simple room, but great stay!

The mountain view from the balcony was great. The breakfast each morning was delicious and fresh. Coffee, tea and multiple types of drinking water were available. They even cooked us a sea food dinner one night which rivaled the local night market, especially the homemade sambal! They also improved the internet connection while we were there which helped us do our work. Oh and Rofiun picked us up from the ferry was well so we didn't have to walk in the hot sun!
