The property is around 2.6 km from Belhaven Bay Beach, 31 km from Muirfield and 46 km from The Maltings Theatre & Cinema. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen and free WiFi. More hotel than hostel the common areas are retro cool and comfortable. Everything is clean, clear, and organized. The staff -- especially Tom -- is brilliant. Kick Ass Grassmarket (18+) 4 stars

Old Town, Edinburgh

Kick Ass Grassmarket (18+) is conveniently located in the centre of Edinburgh, and offers a shared lounge, free WiFi and a bar. This 4-star hostel offers a shared kitchen and a 24-hour front desk. The accommodation features evening entertainment and a tour desk. Generally they did not give bad service. However, despite the fact that I arrived at night, they could not accommodate me at 9 o'clock in the morning. However, there were vacancies in the hostel. And at 3 o'clock drunk Englishmen came, I couldn't sleep because of their voices for maybe 2 hours. I warned twice, but they didn't care. But the cleanliness, the nice conversation of the reception, the reception was excellent.

CoDE POD - The LoFT - Edinburgh 4 stars

New Town, Edinburgh

Each pod-style room at Code Hostel Edinburgh has a shower room and you can relax in bright communal areas, too.

The hostel is within 10 minutes' walk of Edinburgh Waverly Railway Station, while Edinburgh Castle and the old town can be reached in around 15 minutes by foot. This place spoiled me so bad I use it as a gold standard for hostels now, actually interferes with my other reviews since other places are nowhere near as high a quality for the price
