We were very happy to enjoy this stay again. The house is clean, quiet and well equipped. The most valuable is the place. It is on the shore, surrounded by mountains. Pam is very kind and helpful. I am very looking forward to come back again.

Portree Youth Hostel is located in Portree’s city centre. This hostel features a shared dining area and a communal lounge. The property is within 300 metres from many shops, bar and restaurants. Portree’s small port and its coloured houses are 600 metres away. Location is few minutes from the bus station. Room is good attach bathroom. The lounge is big and have good sea viewing. Kitchen is big and have everything.
Kyleakin
The hostel provides guest rooms and dormitories with free WiFi access, as well as views of the sea and surrounding mountains. Some rooms have a TV, and most rooms have a private external/internal bathroom, while others have access to a shared bathroom. All of the rooms and dormitories provide bed linen. Very clean room and bathroom. Unbelievable location, very great place to stay as a base on Isle of Skye. Staff was very friendly, the Scots, Italian and Lithuanian. Didn’t get names but very good workers.

Everything was very neat and clean, organised. Very big and clean kitchen with dinning hall, where you can cook your own food. Exactly in the town center. Walking distance from shops and super market(Co Op).
Kyleakin
Facing the seafront in Kyleakin, Skye Backpackers features barbecue facilities. Among the various facilities are a garden and a shared lounge. Both free WiFi and private parking are available at the hostel. Everything was neat and tidy, especially the kitchen. The bed was not as comfy as the one I had last year at Pitlochry Backpackers - this is relevant because they are part of the same organization. Did appreciate having two pillows though as at Pit. The breakfast was a good value at 3.50 sterling
Broadford
Overlooking Broadford Bay, Broadford Youth Hostel provides easy access to coastal walks on the Isle of Skye and is just 15 miles from the famous Cuillin mountain range. A communal garden is also available for guests to use. Great view of the water, nice modern kitchen, lounge. Clean bathrooms, very quiet
Kyle of Lochalsh
Situated within 14 km of Eilean Donan Castle and 35 km of Museum of the Isles, Highlander Hostel offers rooms in Kyle of Lochalsh. Very nice stay, excellent location and the room itself. Fantastic, outstanding staff member ( receptionist) - very friendly, caring and attentive.

Location..close to town. There was a youth hostel like communal kitchen which would have been good to know about so that we could have taken advantage of it. They allowed us to leave bags prior to checkin time.
Right in the centre of Portree, near the port and most dining places. It's a hostel, so there's a shared kitchen, which was quite large and well-equipped. Rooms had the spare minimum (bunk beds, chair).
Great location & a top hostel.
The host lets you get on with your stay in private, you are greeted on arrival and a farewell as you leave. Great location, cheap for Portree, so take it for what it is, if you want top quality accommodation then pay the extra and stay somewhere else!! This property is not B&B, but the host kindly supply’s cereal
This was a lovely location and really beautiful. The hostel was wonderful and quiet and everything was clean. Felt really safe for a single traveling woman.
The bedding was surprisingly comfortable for a youth hostel. I also liked the self-serve kitchen and they had some games and puzzles in the community area. Hostel manager was very nice and talkative.
I've stayed at a few Backpackers hostels so I know what to expect. For the solo traveller who works outdoors, I always find the accommodation to be satisfactory for the price. The rooms and shower facilities are perfectly adequate and the kitchen area is always kept clean and tidy. Also, the woman on the front desk was super friendly and helpful!
It was a cheap hostel, so I'm not expecting the best of conditions. Nevertheless, it was clean, people are friendly, with a great location and view to skye bridge, in the lovely place of Kyleakin.
Excellent staff and good facilities. Having also stayed in the nearby hostel I prefer Saucy Mary's as the bunk beds are better designed and easier and safer to get into.
There isn't much other places to stay at in the area, it was mostly what we expected it to be. Since it was for 2 nights only and we stayed in youth hostels before, it was nothing unexpected. The staff was very nice and super helpful.
