Murray Library Hostel features free WiFi throughout the property and views of sea in Anstruther. The property is around 14 km from St Andrews Bay, 15 km from St Andrews University and 37 km from Discovery Point. The property is non-smoking and is situated a few steps from Billow Ness Beach. This is one of the most wonderful hotels I've ever stayed in. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend it!!!
House had everything we needed for 4 adults and a 4&8 year old. Easy access and good communication from Fraser. Great location over looking river and just 100m from sea. Good pub(Railway Inn) & Crusoe Hotel within 50m. Accessible safe sandy beach is 200m away great for kids to play & explore. Please be aware that water quality at beach was rated POOR (not safe to bathe in). Not an issue in October.
Great location, safe off street parking. very quirky but lovely decor. Everything we could need.
We thought it was a great location, as it was very close to the centre and supermarkets. Easy to find. We felt safe and it was in a quiet neighbourhood. The house was relatively clean (could be better) and the kitchen was well equipped (apart from the kitchen roll)

Great location, comfortable room with sea view, comfy shared lounge and practical kitchen for making coffee, breakfast, dinner or eating takeaway fish from the Wee chippy next door which does the best GF fish & chips ever! The host is friendly. It's a cut well above what you might think of as a hostel.
Great location, accommodation was clean and very homely. Well stocked and very comfortable for our stay. Chocolate, milk and wine was a nice touch after a long trip. Would definitely book again if we were in the area. Liked the Christmas decorations. Crail is a lovely village with good bus routes for exploring without taking the car, great for coastal walks and close to St Andrews. Check in and out was easy with key safe.
Great Location , large modern bedroom with a great shower room, good parking close to the hotel at very cheap rates. Wetherspoons pub adjacent to the hotel .
Lovely hotel and great staff. It is an old building so the sound proofing of the rooms is not great. We heard traffic, seagulls and other guests slamming doors shut from our room. It is expensive to stay at the hotel and I would expect that at such a price it would be more sound proofed. Luckily our neighbours weren’t entering and exiting their rooms late into the night. I would stay there again as it is a lovely hotel, great location and great restaurants for breakfast and dinner.
Great location lovely breakfast and very welcoming. First trip away after lockdown and very reassuring with every effort made to feel safe.
