Godby
Surrounded by greenery, this hostel is in Godby Village, about 50 metres from Åland Sports Centre. It provides a fully equipped shared kitchen, a TV lounge and a garden.
All of Godby Vandrarhem’s rooms have shared toilets and showers.
The cleanest hostel facility I've seen so far. Friendly fellow tenants, proximity to scenic spots, cool inside while it might be hot outside.
Jomala
At the hostel, every room is fitted with a wardrobe. All units at Gästhem Jomala Gård are equipped with a private bathroom and bed linen.
Jan Karlsgården Open-Air Museum is 15 km from the hostel, while Aland Golf Club is 15 km away. The nearest airport is Mariehamn Airport, 8 km from Gästhem Jomala Gård.
This was a student dormitory with no staff, the entrance through the main door was with a code and the key was available behind a lock, the code for which was sent via e-mail on the day of arrival. The dormitory was very tidy, our room with its own toilet was big and the surroundings were absolutely lovely. Kitchen, TV room and washing facilities were in the basement floor, the kitchen was very well equipped, clean and tidy. It was very quiet to sleep in the peaceful countryside. A small beach and a nature path were located only a short walk away.
We stayed for two nights at Hotel Esplanad as a family group (1 adult and 2 adolescent children). Great location in the centre of Mariehamn and useful balcony for warm evenings. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok. This is a no-frills hotel with facilities to match, but it was fine for our stay.
Very friendly owner, clean and spacious room, great location close to both Kastelhamns castle and Bomarsund ruins + Distillery and Smakbyn. Breakfast was positive surprise with hand picked blueberry and blueberry pie.
Friendly staff and simple procedures matched very well with budget accommodation which was clean, functional and had good facilities.
Great location. Excellent communication fro the hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was spotless and was comfortably spacious for my wife and I, plus two children. I would happily re-book if visiting Åland in the future.

Lovely b&b with beautiful garden, rooms and welcoming staff! Breakfast was good and there were some specialties you don't get at a chain hostel breakfast. Rooms were comfortable and clean, had everything we needed.

Spacious, clean and cozy rooms, great location, very good breakfast, possibility to stay with a dog for a relatively small additional payment compared to other hotels, super friendly staff.
So friendly and polite service. Clean and comfortable. Big tv in each room. Washing machine and dryer. Both shower and bath tub. A japanese style super toilet. Great location. Free parking and electric car charger.
