It is a good base for exploring historical sights, industrial charm, art and culture, bars, restaurants, creative shops, theatres, cinemas, urban gardens, second-hand shops and much more.

In a relaxed atmosphere there is plenty of space for hanging out with other travellers and locals in the in-house bar, in the beer garden or in the hostel living area. Nice spot. Everything was clean and comfortable. There is a bar also and you can meet local people which was pretty interesting

As a hostel, LaLeLu was probably the nicest place we've stayed. Room, shower and common areas were excellent. Regretful that we only stayed there one night.

I stayed at Hostel Lollis Homestay Dresden 2 nights in a female dorm. The hostel is situated in the new town, which by foot is a bit more than 30 min walk (if you take your time ;)). The staff is amazing, super welcoming, and nice ! They gave me so many good advices to visit and tour the city. The dorm was clean, clean bed sheets are given to you upon arrival. What I really loved was the decoration of the hostel, it’s neighbourhood and all the walking tour tips (in the old and new town) the staff gave me. I really had the most amazing stay and will definitely be coming back !

This area is also the cultural centre of Dresden, and the hostel is situated right above the popular pub, Planwirtschaft. The location was amazing, right in the heart of Neustadt Hippi Corner, surrounded by bustling restaurants, cafes, and bars. The double bedroom with a shared bathroom was super clean and quiet. The car park, at 8 euros a day, was reasonable compared to street parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended to family stays as well!
