Playa Blanca
The rooms at the hostel come with a seating area. The rooms are equipped with a shared bathroom and a shower, and some units at DespertArte espacio de Arte y Hospedaje have a balcony. All guest rooms feature bed linen. Sol and Camille are great hosts, there are only two private rooms upstairs with their own terrace and chill out area. The bathroom is shared and basic, but fresh water at all times. All their food is home cooked, vegetarian and very delicious. You can also refill your bottle there to reduce plastic waste. They also offer tours to different places. Be informed, there is no wifi but if you have a sim card the connections works. Electricity is only available from around 7pm -7am. Very relaxed place directly at the beach.

Exceptional service, delicious food, extremely beautiful landscape and lodging. The vibe at the place was great during our visit, we made new friends, played the coconut game together, learned new dances and made memories. I can highly recommend this place.

Hostel is located in the middle of the forest near the beach. There is a bar and a restaurant with few vegetarian options available. There is no ATM on the island but you can pay with card at Secreto and they don't add any service fee. The best thing about Secreto is welcoming Staff, you have a feeling like they are your closest friends, they have great energy that makes you want to stay there much longer than planned 😊 special thanks to the Host- Jhorfan, the most relaxed and friendly person we have ever met!!

An amazing getaway from the busy Cartagena. The workers met us on the dock as we arrived and we all had a welcome drink. We booked the boat through the hostel and everything rang smoothly, although was on the pricier side. Reslly nice pool and plenty of room to chill out. They also had lots of activities to do with the hostel. Would definitely recommend!
Nicest people, delicious cocktails & food, a very relaxed environment. Outdoor shower epic view (we stayed on top floor). Felt very safe and no one was haranguing you, except to ask you what you want to eat or drink :) Definite highlight was going Nena Beach Club at Playa Blanca at about 4pm for sunset, which was gorgeous.
Great location close to the beach, dock and nature with a rustic, relaxed vibe. It is easy to walk to local shops and a couple of cafes and to go snorkelling, exploring by bike or boat or just switch off.
Amazing location on the beach with lots of areas to sunbathe and relax by the water Lots of activities organised by the hostel - we LOVED canoing at dusk and seeing the bioluminescent plankton in the lake and also through the mangroves in the dark. An unforgettable experience. The place itself is clean and the food served is delicious.
My recent two night stay was exceptional. The ocean view from the hostel was incredible and the food was delicious. The hosts were very friendly, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. I do not have anything negative to say about my stay! Highly recommended!
Great location, 3 min walk to a very quiet yet beautiful beach. Kind and helpful staff. Edgar and his family were really nice giving all the useful information and made us feel at easy. Highly recommended
The sea and the views. We booked in to jungle cabin for one night after our first 3 nights and that one was much nicer, cheaper and also not in the jungle??? But on the other gorgeous beach. Theire are only two jungle cabins and both are nice. The staff are friendly except one miserable guy on the desk. He never smiled once. The other owner (blonde female) gave us 20% of our booking due to all the issues in the first cabin. Manicured grounds. Beach furniture is really nice.

listen if you want a no-frills chilled double room on the beach for a very cheap price this is the place but don’t expect anything fancy… at all. the owner/security guard is really nice and may well be the best thing about the property. but it’s in a great location right on the beach and personally I just needed a place to get away and be by myself so it was fine…
very good position, walking distance to many beaches and other eco hostel where have rest and food. staff really sweet & friendly; food was good and hand made by a local cook; excursions well organized, cheap and with a nice guide. room was exactly as in the pictures, they even came daily to clean it up and change towels each 2-3 days.
