Guests can use the lockers and the laundry facilities at the hostel. Very clean and organized. Even though you have to share unisex bathrooms outside the rooms, now I think is the best option to keep the privacy of the rooms. It's less than 10 minutes walking from the train station.

Youth Hostel Lausanne’s functionally furnished rooms have private or shared bathrooms. Food was really good, it’s was the first time I’d pay for the hostel food and I wasn’t disappointed, I got spring roll with rice and nice carrot soup. Almost everything in my meal was vegan!

It’s a short steep hill from the town but the funicular drops nearby if you arriving on foot with luggage! Excellent value and a tasty simple breakfast.
