Staff was extremelly helpful! Room and bathroom are really nice! Location is great, and the bus is very convenient, the place is lovely! I would recommend this Auberge to anyone and we hope to come back sometime!

This is a great hostel. The location is very convenient, close to restaurants and attractions and about a 3-minute walk to a metro station and to the bus stop for the bus that takes you to the airport. Great starting point to get to main attractions like St Mountain Royal and the Old Town in about 20 minutes. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom in the room is big and has plenty of space and all the common spaces were very clean, which is impressive given the hostel was sold out when I stayed. The staff was lovely and friendly and kept my luggage for me after check out. There is a bar and food open until late too. The rooms have lockers, outlets and a small lamp next to every bed and a small shelf by each bed to store your phone etc while sleeping. Only guests with a card have access to the rooms/facilities. There are also a couple of extra bathrooms in the common spaces and a couple of working spaces with desks and outlets for people to work at. Really nice!

Great location- close to the metro and was quick to the downtown and tourist areas. The staff was welcoming and friendly, we even got an upgraded room for free! I Definitely would recommend staying here, me and my friend felt safe and enjoyed our stay.

It was a great location, for sure. Cleanliness was at the highest level, sheets and other linen including the bed were both clean and comfortable. What I liked is the lady came right at the check-out time to ask if I would stay longer, which I answered that I won't and of I could leave the bag at the lobby as it is safe, as you need a code to enter the building, she said "Yes sir you can with a great smile" - I loved and appreciated that friendly reply and approach.

The hostel is well-located, close to the subway station and restaurants, just a 10-minute walk away. The room and bathroom are bright, clean, and comfortable. In addition, you have enough space to store your personal items. Highly recommended for those traveling on a budget, it's the best hostel to choose.

The hotel was a great deal for anyone looking to travel on a budget and be close to downtown and the best highlights of Montreal. It was my first time staying in a hostel abroad and it allayed my fears. I stayed in an all-female room of 12 and it was super safe and clean all the time. The jacuzzi on the roof is amazing and the staff were friendly and multi-lingual. I even extended my stay one extra day. I would 100% recommend this place to friends, solo travellers and especially female solo travellers.
The Lodge du Lac is somewhere between a budget hotel and a youth hostel. It was nice to immediately feel at home enough to walk around the place, check out the garden, go into the kitchen/dining room and use the fridge, utensils etc. The place is old but quite charming and clean. The canoes and pedalo available for the guests were much appreciated to play on the water and the lac is nice to swim in too. While the other guests had not arrived yet, it was very quiet except for the birds :-)

Great location, very nice and competent staff, newly built hotel so spacey room with washrooms and social corner, plus large common areas to work / cook / eat / relax. Each bunk bed as 2 electric plugs, a light, under the bed locker, storage around the bed, and curtains to sleep nicely. Plus the WiFi is really good! Close to a lot of things in Downtown Montreal. So far the best Hostel in that city, especially at that price!
