Such a great location, super close to the port which is perfect for anyone looking to do a reef trip. The rooms are really big and always clean. The common areas are super social and a great place to meet new friends! The staff are also super friendly. I was there for wine and cheese night and it was so much fun, plus free food! The free breakfast is also a huge bonus and the pancakes are delicious. Will definitely stay here again next time I am in Cairns!

As we are a small, independent hostel, our reception is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm. This was a fantastic hostel. Communication was great before we arrived and they even allowed an early baggage drop and check in. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We really appreciated having a fridge in our room. Shared bath and shower were in high demand but we were able to access one within a few minutes. The kitchens were well stocked and there were lots of lovely places to hang out. WiFi worked well. The location right by the train station and within about 15-20 minutes from the pier and downtown was perfect for us. Highly recommended!

Refurbished in May, 2018, Mad Monkey Village featuresa TV, a kitchen, bathrooms with air-conditioners in every room. There is also an outdoor swimming pool. Free WiFi provided.

All the private double rooms are air-Conditioned and come with towels. Loved hanging at the pool. Free gym access was a huge plus too. Would definitely stay again on my next visit to Cairns!
