The environment is natural and it is like living in a rain forest. It is close to Central station where you can go shopping at Coles and Kmart. The kitchen is also clean and has essentials for cooking. The shared bathroom is easy close to the bedroom and not busy.

As we are a small, independent hostel, our reception is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm. Tim was friendly and accommodating upon our arrival and helped us choose a tour to the Barrier Reef. The hostel has a relaxed and social atmosphere. They make an effort to recycle and reduce energy use etc. Overall one of the better hostels I've stayed in in Australia.

Refurbished in May, 2018, Mad Monkey Village featuresa TV, a kitchen, bathrooms with air-conditioners in every room. There is also an outdoor swimming pool. Free WiFi provided.

All the private double rooms are air-Conditioned and come with towels. It's really great to have a place where you can have a nice breakfast for free ... the staff member are really friendly and the hostel is clean including the kitchen ... the music is good and the beds are amazing !
