Great staff, modern “high end” hostel. So good that we booked another night. 1 night stayed in private room was great and looked like pictures. 2nd night stayed in female dorm and was great too. Overall would come back.

I wanted a social hostel and this was it! There are organised social events every night and it was great to start conversations with others living there. The small common room was also friendly. Loved the people there and had a great time.
There's a lovely view from the rooftop.
Punnee at reception is great! Wants you to make the most of your stay.

Amazing location, quiet, clean, incredible breakfast and super friendly staff! I had a late night flight and the staff allowed me to store my suitcase so I could explore Bangkok for the day. When I returned they even allowed me to take a shower before going to the airport. Absolutely loved my stay!
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
I loved that Matini is close to the station, cheap, clean, friendly English-speaking staff, quiet, big comfortable seating areas, lots of natural light, free coffee, cold drinking water, fridge, big table, spacious safe storage with cheap padlocks, free WiFi, sockets, curtains for each bed, comfortable beds with towels provided, cheap delicious food available to order and hand delivered. The staff also helped me order a taxi to Koh Chang.
All we needed for the 3 nights in bangkok.
Used grab to get around which was cheap! Tried the trains but soo busy! Great coffee close by and eating places walking distance.
Plenty of drinking water, washing machine which was awesome. Shared kitchen space. V good aircon. Nicely refurbished!
Great location to the main train station and Chatuchak Weekend market, modern, clean, and they were happy for me to leave luggage and lounge around in their very comfortable communal area before catching the overnight train to Chiang Mai.
best hostel I ever stayed in. The staff treats you SO good! It’s very clean, I saw a that there are 10+ people just for cleaning. It’s so modern and pretty, you feel rich while paying nearly nothing🥹
