Abisko net Hostel & Huskies is situated in Abisko and features a terrace and mountain views. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen, a tour desk, luggage storage and free WiFi.

A sauna is available, and guests can book dogsledding and northern light tours at the property, as well as other winter activities. The area is popular for hiking and skiing, and ski equipment is available for rent at Abisko net Hostel & Huskies.

Each floor had a big kitchen and although the hostel was fully booked I rarely conflicted with others cooking and when I did there was space enough for 2 of us to cook. The rooms were big enough for 6 people. It was super to be allowed to visit the sled dogs every morning if we wanted to. Access to many beautiful hikes straight outside the door. The nightly sauna adds a real community to the hostel, you make fast friends. My room had an amazing view of Lapporten. Awesome with a nightly sauna to decompress after the long day. There's a nice dark spot up behind the hostel which is brilliant for viewing the Aurora, a 2-3 minute walk and easy to find (easier with a flashlight). Nice to bring your blanket or sleeping bag and set yourself up for a night of waiting for Aurora. Next doors Mountain Lodge offers a typical Swedish breakfast buffet, lunch, packed lunches and dinner. They also have local beers available.

The house is warm and cozy and has a pleasant kitchen where we had the possibility to meet the other guests. Raymond was great. We got the possibility to stay longer in our room because we came one day later. He helped us a lot and additionally went with us for aurora hunting, nevertheless it was middle of August :-). We would definitely come again to this place. Thank you so much, Ines & Sophie

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great location, with lots of hiking trails near the hostel. Comfortably equipped kitchen with beautiful views of the lake. Friendly staff, always ready to help with different types of problems. It’s convenient that there is a store, restaurant and bistro in the hotel building (but separate from the hostel). There are some great places near the hostel where you can see the Northern Lights without light pollution

Big kitchen, clean rooms, had everything I needed. The staff was super friendly, the atmosphere nice. I felt safe and also felt like I can leave my bags in the hostel. Also, very nice that I could store my luggage after check-out and could still go explore before my train left.

While it is a budget accommodation, the hostel is well decorated. There room and hallway are well decorated, classy. The common kitchen adn dining area are well-designed adn quiet classy actually, especially at night with soft lighting and stainless steel kitchen counters, etc. It is a budget hostel but it still feels premium.

The location, the vibe, the kitchen, the staff, the sauna, the information, everything was nice. I met some really nice people there. So many activities to choose from and everything was at walkable distance. It is one of the best hostels I have stayed in so far.

Location was fantastic, the room was clean big enough for us. A 4 bed bunk room with washbasin. Perhaps a little more storage space would have been useful. We stayed in the youth hostel section, the hotel and wooden houses also looked fantastic. We didn't use any of the restaurant facilities as we had a great communal kitchen in the hostel.

It's a nice en very organized hostel. It's nice to see that all ages are coming together there. This was by far the best hostel i ever had. And if you have a chance, book the sauna by the lake and jump in the lake to cool down! It was very cold, but an amazing experience 😄

This is a really great hostel! For a good price I got my own room which was quiet, good temperature, and free of mosquitos. There were plenty of shared showers and toilets. The shared kitchen and dining area were great. I wish there was more budget accommodation like this in Sweden and Norway!

Very friendly and helpful staff who gave us advice on hikes and trails. It is what you can expect from a budget hostel, bunk beds and simple rooms. The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. The sauna was great. It was fun to meet international travelers and hikers of all ages.
