Housed in the same building as Bodø Train Station, Bodø Vandrerhjem Hostel offers rooms with free WiFi and flat-screen TVs. On-site facilities include a shared kitchen and laundry room.

The rooms of Bodø Vandrerhjem Hostel have either shared or private bathroom facilities. Bed linen and towels are included in the room rates.

I only stayed for a night, but I found the bed and shower both very comfortable. The location is also very convenient for that kind of stay, as the hostel is in the same building as the train station (and a short walk from the ferry quay).

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great location near a selection of good restaurants. Sadly, the hotel restaurant was closed. Only 5 minutes walk to city centre. Staff all very helpful and friendly.

The budget rooms are fine but do not expect a lot of space. Bathroom was good. Staff good. Buffet Breakfast was very good nice choice of things. Right next to railway station if using train

Great location, short walk from the bus stop, shops nearby and walking distance to the ferry for Lofoten. The dorms were a good size and beds comfortable enough although a little soft (seems standard for Norway). I was surprised how quiet it was being right next to the train station, but they’ve got good glazing to keep the noise out and the warmth in. Kitchen was good and had all the things you need to cook a decent meal. The dining/lounge area was big and the wifi fast and reliable.

The location of the hostel is top notch if traveling by train. The room was clean, if basic- but it is a hostel! I will definitely stay again next time I am in Bodoe. As an older female solo traveler, I feel confident in recommending Bodoe Hostel as a safe, well located, reasonably priced accommodation. I had a great view, and I really appreciated the laundry room.

Clean hostel and the location is very handy when you need to spend one night in between the ferry and your flight.

If you value sleep, the dorm rooms will not be the best option. Very crowded dorms, sleeps 8, in 4 bunk beds. Mattress worn out, kitchen was small and untidy. Lots of people coming and going at all hours. Worst part was the sound of the trains moving in the evening (hostel shares the train station building, room windows are right by the tracks). The location is great for both Ferry and Train, and the price is reasonable, but comfort and sleep will be affected.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location for railway station but 15 minutes walk to Express boat to Lofoten. Lounge area and kitchen available. Desk in room. TV with selection of channels. Cafe next door serves decent food. Hostel were prepared to help store luggage until departure and agreed later check out time.
