All units at the hostel are equipped with a seating area. Every room is fitted with a private bathroom with a shower, while some rooms here will provide you with a kitchen with a fridge. At Finca Fuente de Vida each room is equipped with bed linen and towels.

The food was the best I have had in Central America. Very quiet and peaceful. Wonderful plants that attract birds. Would visit again

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Hostal Mariela is a cozy family run hostel, located close to Cortan Norte bus station in Esteli. Cotran Sur is a walkable distance too; or a super quick and cheap shared taxi ride away. The location worked perfect for me, as I planned to take buses to nearby locations such as Miraflor, Estanzuela etc. It is close to supermarket and local shops, so you can buy fresh produce for your meals. The rooms are clean and comfortable; kitchen is clean and well equipped. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Super convenient.

I appreciate the proximity of this establishment to a charming church and park, situated just a few blocks away. Additionally, the abundance of dining options in the vicinity enhances the convenience and appeal of the hostel. The secure and aesthetically pleasing location further contributes to the overall positive experience.

Great location a 20 minite walk from the bus station and a few minutes from town centre. The staff couldn't have been more attentive, asking if we wanted free coffee water, room cleaned etc. The room was modern with a fan and the bathroom had hot water and free toothpaste, razor etc. There was a lounge area with great views over the town . Some of the rooms don't have a window but we were shown a selection and chose one with a window for the same price.

Cool place for backpackers in Esteli. The hostel is cute and dorms and bathrooms are clean. Part of the hostel is the treehuggers travel agency through which you can book tours to Somoto Canyon, Miraflor and more. The staff is incredibly helpful and goes out of their way to help you.

The people running the business were amazing. The attention that I got from them was amazing. The location was right in the middle of all the action. Good shopping, great coffee shop on corner, and the food selection was emence there are resteraunts and bars and cigar lounges everywhere. And it's very safe.

Good location in safe area close to centre. Staff were friendly, not much English spoken but that was no problem. We had use of kitchen and eggs provided for breakfast, which was amazing. Comfy bed. Clean room and bathroom. Also, can recommend Alitas Monkey wings restaurant a block away. Buzzing with locals, even on a Monday night.

Good hostel with a good kitchen. Location is close to the Central Park with bars and restaurants round. However it is a 20 min walk to terminal north and 30 min walk to terminal south (both are 10 mins from each other). They have a fantastic travel agency and the staff have excellent information. Canyon de Somoto is an awesome adventure! The cigar tour is really I te resting too. Sometimes it is hard to find someone who works there, but if you just go across the street to the restaurant, someone can help you. Very quiet hostel.

There‘s absolutely nothing to complain about - the Host Alexis is super kind, his doggo is a cutie, the room is super big and new (especially for the cheap price), bed was comfortable, there‘s even a microwave, a kettle, some cups and coffeepowder in the room for free!

The farm is an amazing place, far away from the cities it's great for relaxing and getting away from the backpacker superhighway. Really kind people living and working here who are great to chat to There are great tours that you can do. We especially enjoyed riding the horses and walking through the protected cloud Forrest.
