Happy bunk hostel weligama, hotel in Ahangama

Set in Weligama, 200 metres from Weligama Beach, Happy bunk hostel weligama offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

I stayed at this amazing hostel in Weligama for 4 nights, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach and close to the city, making it easy to explore everything the area has to offer. The mornings started with relaxing yoga sessions, setting the perfect tone for the day. The owner is absolutely wonderful and incredibly kind. He goes above and beyond to help with anything you might need, whether it’s calling a tuk-tuk, checking the train schedule, or arranging activities. His ambition to constantly improve the hostel is evident, and it’s clear that he’s creating something really special here. This hostel is also an excellent spot for solo travelers. I met so many amazing people during my stay and made some great friendships. The owner’s network of friends ensures that you can easily arrange surf lessons or any other activities you’re interested in. I had the best time in Sri Lanka here, and I’m sure I’ll be back. If you’re looking for a friendly, well-located hostel with a great atmosphere, this is the place to stay!

Together Beach House, hotel in Ahangama

Boasting a garden, terrace and views of city, Together Beach House is situated in Midigama, 200 metres from Midigama Beach.

A big thank you to Renan & Rachele for making my stay unforgettable! I will always remember their kindness and most warm welcome! I am sure it would not have been the same experience if they haden’t been there, even though the beach house is amazing! Everything from the room, to day-to-day life was perfect thanks to the both of them. They were always available if needed and ready to help in any way (fixing things around the beach house, giving recommendations to surf, cleaning and making the beach house look nice etc.) If I could I would travel to all the places around the world where Renan & Rachele volunteer to manage! Great location, magical view, simple life :)

Brilliant location for beach, train station, buses, cafes etc. Roof terrace where you can watch the sunset over the sea and look over Ahangama high street. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was large, had everything we needed (table, chair, hooks). You also had access to washing machine and kitchen. Accommodation is really budget friendly especially considering the great location. Easy to find and get to.

such a nice hostel- only 10 beds in the whole place, it has a family feel and the beds are wider than a normal twin. the staff are really easy going and there is a restaurant upstairs that is a nice place to eat and chill in and watch the ocean. most of the rooms just have one bunk bed in them so you can sleep really well without any noise! About 10 minutes drive from Weligama and Ahangama as well as a 10 minute walk to Midigama.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in - you need anything from food to a scooter to a bus to Ella they’ll help you and even wait at the bus stop with you (Not guaranteed lol). Events are organised most days and they’re great fun, the people at Yoyos make it special though. Wish them all the best and strongly recommend you book longer than you need because you’ll end up extending anyway

No doubt this is the best hostel in the country to settle down for a while, get to know people and have a really good time. Location is perfect and it is run by amazing people. Among all my travels, this is one of the most special hostels i ever visited (if not the most). Just go there!!!
