All guest rooms at the hostel come with a seating area, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a kitchen, a dining area, a safety deposit box and a shared bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. At Lakes Boutique Hostel Apartment Windermere the rooms are equipped with bed linen and towels.

The apartment was fantastic for everything we needed - location was brilliant right in the centre of Windermere, quirky and spacious communal area and everywhere was clean and tidy. Beds were so comfy too. The host was also very helpful, friendly and responsive - we will definitely stay again thank you Lakes Boutique!

The majority of rooms contain bunk beds, whilst there is a TV lounge with comfortable sofas, local sightseeing guides. Wi-Fi access is available in public areas of the property, and guests have use of laundry and drying facilities at the YHA hostel.

Everything. It was one of the best hostel that I have stayed. Awesome location, staff, service, breakfast and rooms.

Some bedrooms have views across both the lake and the Langdale Pikes. This hostel offers private rooms with en-suite or allocated shared bathrooms..

Ambleside village is a 10-minute walk from the YHA hostel. It has a selection of quaint tea rooms, artisan shops and country pubs.

Staff is very polite and friendly. Asked them to take early breakfast since we needed to be on our way early morning, and they prepare for us breakfast for take away with message that made my day! Place is very nice and location is nice. I hope i will come back next time! I would like to thank them!

YHA Hawkshead, hostel in Hawkshead

The Beatrix Potter Gallery is located in nearby Hawkshead, and Lake Windermere is only a 10-minute drive from YHA Hawkshead. The lush greenery of Grizedale Forest is just outside the hostel, home to excellent mountain biking trails and a Go Ape! treetop adventure course.

The yurt (bell tent) was great! Beautiful location.

    Great location, safe parking and a good size for 2 people. Newly done bathroom was lovely & kitchen was well equipped if we had wanted to cook but so many lovely restaurants within walking distance

    Very clean and comfortable. Good value for money. Great location between Bowness and Windermere shops, pubs, and restaurants. Easy access with keysafe. Martin was a helpful host with information on the local area we asked for as we have not stayed in Windermere before.

    It was in a great location, close enough to the Lakes and the town, restaurants, take aways etc. The accommodation was clean, breakfast was good and the bed was very comfortable. The rooms are not as sound proof as I would have liked. The staff were friendly and helpful.

    I love pretty much everything about this place, the rooms are fab, immaculately clean and very comfy beds, great location, and having a residents lounge with a microwave and fridge so you can cook a shop brought ready meal if you are on business and don't feel like going out, or are on a budget is a real bonus and very thoughtful!

    The site itself is in a great location and the staff within the reception, bar and leisure facilities were great. They were particularly helpful when the owner of the property was not responding to basic health and safety problems.

    great location, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony wich was lovely, the dog walking area has improved loads its now a lot bigger and better. Nice big beds, very friendly staff including the cleaners. parking is great and lots of it, safe and secure and the grounds are stunning and very well kept - We would stay again.
