Looking for a hostel?
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Lovely cosy lodge, well equipped, great location for walks on the Hadrian's Wall path. Friendly helpful hosts. Easy to park just outside. Comfortable bed and the shower room was bigger than I expected. There's a bus from Greenhead about 15 minutes' walk away to the main places along Hadrian's Wall. I got the bus to Housesteads and walked back, which was challenging but a great walk.

This is a really well run hostel on Hadrians Wall Path and the Pennine Way. The hostel has all the facilities that you would expect of a good hostel including a very good kitchen and common room. Pub over the road too so nothing to complain about with this one.

Loved this quiet village. Extremely beautiful area, peaceful surroundings. The hostel was a converted chapel, which felt very special. Friendly people. Fantastic food at the hotel across the road, with highly capable and well-organised staff. Accommodation was basic but very clean, and with a comfortable bed.

This is really good value for money and you can take dinner and breakfast in the hotel opposite. We did both and the food was very nice. The room in the hostel was much better than I expected.

Really convenient for wall walking. Hostel across the road from main hotel. The hotel was clearly of a much higher standard than the hostel, and we would definitely have stayed their given any availability. As it was we ate in the hotel/

Location was perfect for cycling the C2C, very cheap clean dormitory room. Lovely old building converted in to hostel, lots of space to relax inside and out. Very nice to be able to use the sister hotel across the road for breakfast and dinner, which were both brilliant.
