Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Location if 900mt walk from town centre and water front. Toorak Central is a bit out of the way in a semi commercial area and there are no amenities near it. Having said that the cafe is great and really meets all your needs. Taxis are cheap and offer good services, but not late at night. Staff are super friendly and will book you taxis for transfers (I had a 4am transfer and it went off without a hitch).
Pathetic service, no clean towels 3 nights in a row. Feel like I was treated differently compared to " white , KAIVALAGIS paying same rate. Need to check on your electrical appliance , .major safety issue
Wasn't aware the premises was under renovation , another safety issue
Overall design of the premises, not well thought out, I felt I was intruding on other guests when using the pool
No professionalism when attending to queries on 2 sepatate nights
Yatulau is a good budget hotel that’s at a great price point. The facilities are adequate and as the place had had a fairly recent renovation is clean and tidy. The location is excellent. It’s just a short walk from downtown and it’s easy to hail a taxi from outside. I stayed for two nights and found it to be perfect for my needs.
Great location, affordable and the owner was easy to deal with and very accommodationg. Windy and cool place, made for a nice setting for meals on the balcony and the host didn't bother us at all. It was like we were in our own home. A quiet and safe location which was a major bonus having our kids with us. Air-conditioning worked great, home appliances were good and generally value for money stay we had for 5days and 4nights. Will definitely book again...
Cheap.
Low grade budget.
Very noisey.
Location was crappy
