I really Loved how quiet and nature immersive the place was and the owner was super nice and helpful. It was an experience and i cant wait to be back there! The place is a bit isolated- 3 km of an unpaved road from port and center of the village. You can either walk for a while or take a taxi. If you book your day trips and scuba with the Juan (the owner) he drives you there for free. He also picks you up and drops you down upon arrival and return. The rooms were nice and had a beautiful view and there was also a common area and kitchen. Bonus- It was the first place in central america where the pillows actually supported my injured neck.

Corcovado Guest House offers accommodation in Drake, only 1 km from Los Planes Corcovado National Park and 5 km from the beach.

We offer all classical tours from the Drake area as well as rural tours and self-exploring adventures around the hostel.

One of the most memorable and special places we’ve ever stayed at. It’s gorgeous, beautifully built, very well designed to keep each space separate and quiet, with nature all around. Mike knows everyone and everything about the area- I’d highly recommend booking with him whatever activities you do since he hears from all his guests how each tour goes and knows who to recommend. We spent 4 weeks in Costa Rica, and this was our favorite spot- incredible wildlife and such a wonderful place to stay. We didn’t have a car but it wasn’t a problem since Mike drove us to the tours he booked for us. Highly recommend!

Facing the beachfront in Drake, Life for Life Hostel Drake Bay Home of Sea Turtle Marine Conservation Project Osa Peninsula near San Josecito Beach has a restaurant and a garden. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen and free WiFi.

The whole experience was amazing. It is a serious adventure, involving a place ride, taxi ride that literally went over rivers and a 30 minute hike- with gear. I am not sure I would have done it (with partner who has bad knees and 9 yo) if I had known how hard it was to get to- but it was so worth it. Ricardo was so full of life and generosity. John always had plenty of time to help us. In addition to keeping the space spotless, Mar even came up with a birthday cake when we needed one! To be clear- you are staying in tents in the jungle. There are insects. The food is expensive. Your clothes never dry. But you are also on the beach in a glorious, amazing place.

With free WiFi, this hostel offers a shared kitchen. All rooms have access to a terrace with views of the garden. The kitchen in the hostel is fully equipped and offers free coffee or tea. Some rooms include a private bathroom. Martinas Place offers all tours to Corcovado or Caño Island. Hiking is among the activities that guests can enjoy near Martinas Place.

Multiple bathrooms and showers, great kitchen and food storage system. Great price for a private room that included a fan and didn’t get direct sunlight during the day so it stayed cool all day. Staff is very helpful and friendly. High recommend this place if you want to be close to the town and the beach.

Good location - easy to get to places in town, excellent air conditioning and a humidifier in the room made things very comfortable with the heat outside. Cheap laundry with a fast turnaround.

It was perfect! I originally booked for just one night and ended up staying there for over two weeks! The hostel is in a great location. You are in the middle of nature but also in 10-15 minutes in the center. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food you can order in the hostel was delicious! I also booked my tours through the hostel and was very happy with them, I was very well advised. I would come back any time! 🥰

This is a no frills, budget place that is quite far removed from the action in Drake bay. It would take 45 minutes walking along a very dusty road to get to town, so we chose taxi transport every time. However, it had tons of character, was clean and quiet, felt very safe, and had interesting and friendly guests. The “private” beach was lovely. Our room had a refrigerator (but there was a communal one nearby), air conditioning and a noisy ceiling fan. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Food was good but not especially inexpensive.

Lovely hotel - everything spotlessly clean. Great location with views over the forest to the sea. The manager was extremely helpful and arranged a 4 x 4 overland transport to our next destination (Puerto Jiminez). Much quicker and cheaper than the alternative of Boat and long and expensive taxi ride.

Best hostel in the area! Staff is amazing and super welcoming. Did a bunch of tours with Sukia as well and they were all amazing. Stayed in both the bungalow and shared dorms and enjoyed both. It's a little up the road, but way quieter than by the beach, plus you pass a few restaurant and supermarkets on your way out and in. The hostel does events a couple times a week, check em out!

This accommodation is top end hostel / budget hotel category. If you were paying those prices that would be fine, but Las Cotingas markets itself as something more, which invariably disappoints. Positives: Great views from communal areas or sea view rooms; helpful staff who helped with bags from boat.

One of the best hostels. The service is perfect, when you need something or have a question, the owner helps you and is friendly. All was very good there and the view over the sea from the hostel is incredible. When I'm again here I will book it definitely again. Thank you
