The hosts were really lovely and made sure to make the stay really comfortable - very nice bath towels provided, along with wholesome breakfast. Also toiletries were provided (including hairdryer which was a great bonus). Room is simple and modest, but was enough for us. It was really nice to have such wonderful hosts and we were well fed with the breakfast (typical Chilean breakfast but also with granola & yoghurt provided). Returning to Ma Patagonia Hostel for my second stay confirmed why I love this place. The sense of security here is top-notch, making me feel safe and comfortable throughout my stay. The hostel’s location is ideal, offering easy access to buses heading to Puerto Montt and being close to the city center. The nearby market adds to the convenience. During this visit, I appreciated the secure luggage storage, which was very handy.
Even on rainy days, the hostel provided plenty of entertainment with its selection of board games. The staff's helpfulness and attention to detail made a big difference. I've now stayed here twice and can confidently say that Ma Patagonia Hostel is a fantastic base for exploring the beautiful Puerto Varas area. I’ll definitely be returning to discover more of what this charming region has to offer.

Great hostel in an older house 2 blocks from all the local buses to all the locations. Situated on a hill with very beautiful stairs leading past the place. Kitchen is located in a separate building from hostel so you don't have to smell what everyone is cooking.
An outdoor swimming pool surrounded by garden can be enjoyed just 200 metres from the beach. Rooms have garden or beach views and Wi-Fi is free. Del Lago Commercial Centre is 4 km away.
