Great little cabanas to share with just one other person or group. Hosts were SUPER accommodating and lovely per all other reviews and always checked that everything was okay. We really appreciated them helping to find the strongest wifi on the property for an interview.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Great location, right beside a cave by the seaside. A quick 20 minute walk to town, also enjoyed the breakfasts.

This hotel is charming! The attention to detail is just right and the staff has such a great vibe. As a solo traveler I felt very whole and safe staying here. The rooms are spacious with excellent air conditioning. The food is generous and overall the hotel has a homey vibe which is what I loved the most. Cat also was great <3 the girls who picked me up at the airport with a flower necklace were a treat and it kick started my holiday on a great note. Congratulations and thank you !!!

Great location and facility. The owner Ita was amazing! My tour guide forgot to pick up us but Ita called them and sorted out the issue. He even drove us to the Easter island museum so that my family does not waste our precious time until the new tour guide came and pick us up. Great service and hospitality. Thank you so much Ita!!!

Our host was absolutely fantastic - super friendly, helpful, and ended up being our (mandatory) guide to visit the moai which was much cheaper than another guide. They help you organise anything you need and you are picked up (for free) from the airport and also dropped off. The rooms are very comfy, mine had a balcony which was lovely. Price is good considering the expense of being on the island. You could pay cash or card.

Cannot recommend Pua Vaenga more! Bea was a wonderful host, she picked us up from the airport with beautiful flower necklaces. She was amazing from start to finish- was always there when we needed, and took us on an excellent (and really reasonably priced) tour! We learned so much about the Island and it's history, and also got an included beach trip. The hostel itself is lovely, the beds are super comfy and it's kept spotlessly clean. Go stay here we had the best time!! Thank you Bea - Lisa & Isabella

The view from the property is amazing. The lady who owns the place does an amazing job at keeping it. It is very well cared for and one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. It is also one of the cleanest hotels and hostels I have ever seen.

Tojika was a dream. It’s right on the coastline, so I fell asleep to the sound of crashing waves. The hostel is very pretty and well-maintained. People complain about having to walk 15 min along beautiful coastline - don’t listen to them! Bikes can be rented for cheap in town if you don’t want to walk. I’ll be back and I’ll be happy to stay in Tojika again!

The kindness of the staff was from another world! My experience in the Easter Island would have not been as great as it was without the staff at this hostel. I highly recommend this place for everyone! As a solo female traveller I felt safe.
