We are an international backpackers hostel and require an international passport for check in at all times.

That place is very worth staying in. It is not for flashpackers, but for the rest of us it has everything we need, even free tea with milk to put in it. It is very central to the city and around a 5 minute walk from the train and coach station. There is an ALDI supermarket around a 15 minute walk from the hostel. Those seem to be in every town in Australia and are great for helping to stay within the budget.

Great location! Staff was nice and there’s loads to do. Impressed by how clean and easy it was to use the kitchen considering how many people were using it. It was a bit challenging to find a spot on the shelf for my groceries but there was so much turn over that it worked out. Bathrooms everywhere and they provide a hair dryer and straightener in the ladies bathroom. Drag bingo is free to play and an absolute riot! I met so many amazing travelers and would absolutely recommend flinders and would stay there forsure when I make it back to Melbourne!

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
