Pension Schmitz offers great service (though not in English/translate by phone), very good breakfast—And YES you can make sandwiches to go/with bread, meat, cheese! Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. And the neighbors have a deer farm to enjoy—we fed them grass and weeds directly over the Schmitz fence. Oh—and did I mention the CASTLE VIEW over that same fence and from our room… all this for a very fair price! AMAZING!

Bridget is absolutely delightful. She provided a beautiful and excellent tasting breakfast each day. The wine was wonderful. From this location we easily traveled to Luxembourg.

We were made very welcome as soon as we arrived and able to park our motorcycles in the front yard. It has been a very wet day but our host was unfazed by our wet clothing and showed us somewhere to hang our motorcycle gear. She even had a boot dryer that channelled hot air into our boots / gloves to dry them out. Excellent!! Lovely bathroom and two bedrooms, though I had to walk through my companion's room to get to the bathroom and back (on tip-toes! 😁). The bathroom was excellent, lovely and clean, with a Jacuzzi bath available though I chose a shower. Tea and coffee facilities were provided in the main bedroom and our host brought a jug of fresh milk (much better than UHT portions!) We were pointed towards the restaurants in the town, a short walk away. The nearest, a Chinese Restaurant, was closed that night but there were others nearby. We chose Kebabs. There were also Cafe Bars, I had some Hot Chocolate and my companion had a beer. Wi-Fi was strong and allowed me to stream something from Netflix on my Tablet later on..

It had everything one could need while staying. The shared bathroom was very big, perfectly clean and we didn’t experience even the slightest inconvenience of any kind. Bus stands were just outside making it convenient to explore the city.
