Property owner Mr. Rajesh very welcoming and helpful. Made sure we comfortable during the whole stay. They served us most delicious authentic Kerala breakfast. Rooms are comfortable constructed in authentic kerala architecture. Best part no television ;). Mr. Lawrence will attend to you when you are at the property. He is very good person. He assist us with all sight seeing details. In our case he took us personally to the elephant park, spice garden and kathakali, kalariyapattu shows. He is having good contacts so we were lucky to get best options and seats. We had only 1 day but Lawrence & Rajesh make fully worth it for us. Highly recommended to opt for this location if you visit Thekkedy. Thanks to make our stay and visit memorable.

Everything. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Beds are very comfortable, large bathroom and plenty of hot water. Balcony is lovely and view from it is beautiful. Property is on a nice road and not far to walk to centre of town. Suresh, who runs the guest house, is so helpful with lots of advice and knowledge. We had a wonderful 3 nights stay and cannot recommend enough.

Ferndale is a great place to stay. Located in a lush and quiet neighbourhood. Dexter and Debby have been very thoughtful hosts. I highly recommand Ferndale if you're looking for a homestay in the Kumily / Thekaddy area.
The location was perfect. Feels like sitting right in the lap of nature. The host Christo was always there to help. Everything was provided in the homestay. Christo went out of the way to make sure that the stay was comfortable for me and my elderly parents.
The host Mr. Shyam was very helpful in organising the trip and he assisted us very well. The homestay was very calm and located a bit away from chaiotic main town. Clean rooms and easy enterly happy with the stay and service. We were given access to cook food for ourself as we took our 5 month old child.
The host Mr. Abbas is a very good and polite human. Everything was perfect as per price. Room and toilet were clean and equipped with hot water facilities. Room was spacious and well comfort. I must recommend this homestay if you are a budget traveler and wanting a homely environment.

Jungleview home stay is the best homestay I've found in India through 2 months travelling: - The owner(big soul man) and his staff are kind and helpful. They can help you to manage the activities in kumily - The place is like in the photos(probably better) .You will feel adsorbed in the jungle environment and easily you can see a lot of wild animals. - Rooms are clean,functional and well decorated. - Price is low - Position is 15 minutes walkin from the park entrance (5 minutes by tuc tuc). I felt like in a family(but more funny:)!
Our stay at bluemount homestay was like home away from your home. The property is facing a hill with spectacular views from the verandah. Nice place to relax with a cup of coffee or tea. If you are paying a visit to idukki, this is definitely a place to stay as idukki dam, anchruli tunnel are pretty nearby. The host Mr. Philip is a nice person and is helping in nature. He guided us with high level itinerary of places to visit. Highly recommend this home stay if you are expecting a homely environment.
