They offer so many personal and thoughtful touches, Ashridge House really does feel like a home from home. The breakfasts are simply amazing.....a huge choice, perfectly cooked and presented, honestly didn't need to eat again until dinner time. The location of the property in the heart of the village is perfect and the private parking area is a huge bonus. The seating area in the glorious garden is a lovely spot to relax and unwind.

Set in an elegant Victorian house, the 4-star Fountains Guest Accommodation is just a 5-minute walk from Harrogate’s historic centre. Fountains offers cooked breakfasts and traditional rooms with free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. We loved everything about our stay at the Fountains. The room was well equipped, with a gorgeous garden view.The beds were comfy and the rainfall shower was luxuriously hot! Location is everything when you are only staying a couple of nights and the Fountains did not disappoint - it was just a short stroll into town. The staff were amazing, really friendly and nothing was too much for them. Breakfast choice was plentiful, with cereals, yogurts and juice followed by a delicious cooked breakfast if you wanted it.

Easy to find location, Google takes you to the door. We stayed in this newly renovated, to an incredibly high standard guest house for a couple of very enjoyable nights. Each room is very individual and a completely different aesthetic to one another, we stayed in Room one which not only has a beautiful Roll top bath , but from the sitting area you can see the Whitby Abbey ruins. Breakfast, which was both a selection of cereal, fruit, yoghurt and juices , then a delicious cooked breakfast if you like ( plus toast and jam too) was served by the hosts George and Lynn, whom were both attentive, friendly, funny and so informative of the local area, suggesting many places to visit , dine at or walk too. They really do appear to care for their guests and to ensure the guests can enjoy their stay to the maximum. The guest house is easy to find on Prospect Hill, just after the lights when coming out of Whitby centre. A short walk downhill to the town, but you may want a taxi back. Parking however is provided for residents at the back of the guest house.

Location was in a nice area, good access to Peasholme Park and beach.

The homestay features a flat-screen TV. The kitchen is fitted with an oven, a microwave and a toaster and there is a private bathroom with a hair dryer and free toiletries. The property has an outdoor dining area. The guest house was decorated in a lovely quirky fashion. it was spotlessly clean. I loved the fact that dark coloured towels are provided for dyed hair. I always worry about ruining white towels.

On arrival, we were shown our room and asked what time we would like our breakfast, we was given a booklet of Whitby which had a map of the town. Marty explained how we could get into town if walking, bus or driving. Places in and around town we could visit. We were able to park onsite for free. The room was large and with en- suite shower, immaculately clean, modern and comfortable, well furnished and decorated. It has a TV, table and chairs, mini fridge stocked with milk and a couple of bottles of water. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and a packet of biscuits, kettle, 2 x cups and 2 x glasses, hairdryer, towels, small soap, mini shampoo and conditioner. Continental breakfast was delivered to our room at a prearranged time of our choosing. They give a little knock so not to disturb us and it is left outside the room. Breakfast comes on a nice white tray on separate legs. Breakfast was lovely and fresh and each day Is slightly different. You get a good variety and plenty of food. The property isn't far from whitby town. A bit of a steep hill when walking back, however there is a bus stop directly outside the property or you can get a taxi. If walking it doesn't take long, about 20 minutes. From the time we arrived to the time we left our hosts Marty and Jo were exceptional, approachable and friendly We definitely will stay again if in the area.
