The most lovely host family. You must eat dinner with them because it was the most delicious meal ever. We are vegan, and there were so many options for us. The bathrooms are very nice with hot water, and the bed was the most comfortable I’ve had in a month. I wish I would have stayed more days here because it’s so beautiful with lots of mountain trails. There were 7 Vietnamese visitors at the home when we were there, and we all had fun singing karaoke. We had a large private bedroom with mosquito tents. The best.

We absolutely loved our stay with this beautiful family. The drive through the village was the perfect start, we pulled over to admire the landscape. We were greeted with the warmest and most welcoming smile. The beds were soft and comfortable and there was plenty of hot showering water. Family style meal was provided for us along with other guests, we quite enjoyed the conversation, laughs and “happy water”. A fire was made to help keep us warm. We stayed for 1 night in a bungalow and had dîner at the Don Dao homestay. The bungalow has a stunning view on the rice fields. It was very clean and the bed very confortable. It can be a bit cold in the winter but the duvet is warm and cosy. The highlight of our stay was the dinner with the family from the Dao ethnic group. Every thing was delicious and we spent a wonderful evening chatting with the owner Phuong via Google translate and drinking the local corn alcohol.  An authentic place where we felt welcome at all times.
