Nice sceneries of mountains and tea plantations round the chalet. Clean and nice chalets. Nice sitting area where you can help yourselves to tea and enjoy the view. The owner is a tea plantation owner and you can drop by his office which is just on the way to the chalet to check in. Breakfast was quite nice and huge - glutinous rice cooked with pork and mushroom, 1 sunny side up egg, 1 large plate of cabbage and some raddish pickles. After breakfast, there is a free tea session. Owners are humble.

We came from Philippines and owner is so friendly!!!! Though it's kind of far, but they treat us to well also cook us dinner and breakfast. Also the most important point is that you don't need to take Alishan train to see the sunrise, you just have to go to the patio and enjoy.

The owner very friendly. And warm! While she realize that we have elderly check in, she offer the downstairs rooms for us and upgrade it. Really appreciate her thoughtfulness! Hostel has offer home cook breakfast which we can try out the local breakfast. It’s a simple and very clean home stay! Definitely will stay again if back to Alishan and recommend to friends!

Breakfast was simple but healthy and delicious. The minsu provided a big spread of fresh local vegetables salad, stirred fried vegetables, boiled eggs, variety of breads with olive oil, and fried tofu with local wasabi paste, hot coffee and hot chocolate. The view from the room and back yard was beautiful - mountains with clouds. The minsu staff were warm and friendly, the lady boss helped us to book a car to Alishan and gave good advice to go one way and take the public bus back, as well as recommendations for good railway bento and where to walk in the area. The location is fantastic, just at the end of Fenqihu Old Street.
