The host, Yai, is an incredibly friendly and helpful man. Allowed me to use the kitchen area (albeit a bit under-done, and dusty...perhaps off season?).
The tent was kind of what I was expecting, spacious, comfortable, with electricity! But the site was diffetent to what I was expecting. Much larger, but thats not nevessarily a plus for solo. Large. But little people and interaction....
Could be good for a couple or a family!
Ofcourse, the tents get a bit sandy, but Yai does his best to keep the place clean.
He was mowing the grass and fixing things, in preperation for busy season....
I believe I just caught the island in a quiet lull. Chose Koh Mook for its quiet, and that is what I got ! :)

Lovely family that run this place . The bar is a nice place to hang out . And the bathrooms are very clean bed comfortable. Handy to be near the shops and restaurants.

This place is so nice! As you see on pictures, you can have the authentic experience of staying in a floating home, I think this has a plus rather than the other type of resorts with repeated model of bungalows, you are also door by door with local people and really close to restaurants and shops. But the best think, is the family who is running the place, Yuat is a fantastic hard worker woman who is all the time looking after the guest and the house, she will help you with anything you need. And Patty the daughter is a sweet a nice girl always with a smile. I really had a nice time here. When I come back to Koh Muk, this will be my home.

The location was absolutely beautiful being located right in the jungle. it was so lovely going to sleep to the sounds of the bush. Food was the best we had on the island. made with so much love! The owner was absolutely lovely and she went above and beyond to make our stay homely and comfortable. I’m definitely going to miss this place!

It’s super cute and everything works well.
Double bed is comfortable, the shower has good pressure but no hot water even though with the heat you don’t need it.
The fan is totally enough because at night you always have a breeze coming from the sea.
The person in charge is also very nice.

Excellent location ; basic and small but very clean ; very nice owners.
We compared many staying options before and on site and, in this price range, we found Kook Bungalow to be the best value.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Amazing location right on the beach with a lot of privacy, super helpful hosts, and free kayaks and snorkels. Our bungalow felt very luxurious with a lovely sea view terrace and a small section the beach to ourselves with sun loungers. The resort is spread out accross the best part of the beach and every bungalow has a sea view. The restaurant has a really good menu and an Italian chef for amazing pizzas and pasta. The Thai food is also really good and all the other staff are locals. Can’t wait to come back
Very nice family-run facility, in the middle of the jungle, yet still easy to walk to the great beaches. I particular like the host family 😀!!!
